There is an ancient village in Hengxi Town, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, which is located between hills and streams. When I first visited it, I was impressed by its beauty, and when I passed by again, I was attracted by its magnificence. There are many historical sites, waterfalls, Qingtan and ancient roads, as well as online celebrity B&B. The scenery is so beautiful that many young tourists come here to take photos and punch in.

this ancient village is located in the southeast of Wushantou, Hengxi Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, surrounded by mountains. The village is called Shankeng as if it had fallen into a pit in a mountain stream, because there is already a Shankeng village in its upstream, so it is named Xiashankeng.

There are historical sites or scenic spots such as Longxiang Temple, Longwangtang Shenshuitan, Xianrenjing, Triangle Longtan, Sanjiangjun Temple, Meiyin Bridge and Meiling Middle School in the downhill pit. There are several ancient roads around it, such as Meiyin Ancient Road, Yushan Ancient Road and Jinshan Ancient Road. Through these ancient roads, you can reach ancient villages such as Chenpo 'ao Ancient Village, Yushan Ancient Village, Jinshan Ancient Village, Zhishan Ancient Village and Yan Village. These landscapes are linked together, and it is a tourist area integrating historical charm and natural scenery, which is well worth visiting.

Xiashankeng Village is located between valleys, and Meixi passes through the village. Meixi twists and turns, although there is no name for the nine twists and turns, but there are many beautiful scenery along the way.

The northernmost scenery of the village is at the corner of Meixi, with vertical cliff walls, shaded by green trees, rugged rocks and clear streams. There is a Longxiang Temple under the cliff. There is a long and narrow stone slab bridge in front of the temple and a stone pool under the bridge. During the rainy season, the streams are abundant, the water is fast, and the waterfalls on Shitan are surging down, which is very spectacular.

the center of the village is also a bend. The bend is the starting point of Meiyin Ancient Road, Meixi Ancient Road and Yushan Ancient Road, and there are many historical sites.

Among these historical sites, Meiyin Bridge is the most famous. The date when Meiyin Bridge was built is unknown. The existing bridge was rebuilt in 12 years of the Republic of China, with a total length of 8.5 meters and a width of 4.5 meters. The bridge body is built of relatively regular stones, and the bridge deck is paved with pebbles, with lotus slabs in the middle and slightly protruding strips on both sides as bridge railings. There is a trail similar to a fiber path under the bridge, so you can stop and play. There is a Temple of Three Generals near Meiyin Bridge, which is said to have been built for the worship of Pei Du, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1, years.

Next door to Meiyin Bridge and Sanjiangjun Temple is Ningbo Zhuye Homestay. Zhuye B&B is rated as one of the top ten most beautiful B&Bs in Ningbo. It is surrounded by mountains and waters, a blue pool in front of the house, awning tents, loungers and teahouses. It is a romantic leisure place.

There is also a beautiful legend about this Longtan: It is said that Triceratops, the son of the Dragon King of the East China Sea, was drunk and came out to play. He happened to be thirsty when passing by, and happened to meet an old man carrying water and asked for a bowl of water to drink. Knowing that the old man's water was picked from a place more than ten miles away, Triceratops decided to dig a well here. Unfortunately, the magic soldiers who came to capture it on the orders of the Dragon King arrived. Triceratops was outnumbered, so it hit the mountain with its head and split half the mountain to attract spring water, forming a clear pool. In memory of him, the villagers named it "Triangle Longtan".

there are several shallow waterfalls and pools downstream of the triangle Longtan. Longtan fairyland is the most famous. Longtan Wonderland is a scenic spot which is located beside Meixi River, but independent of Meixi River. The whole scenic spot is a ravine, full of rocks and layers of falls. At the beginning of the shower, the stream rushes down, forming a cascade waterfall, which is beautiful and is a scenic spot to play with water.

There is another scenic spot that I have to mention in the downhill pit, that is, Smeeting. This pavilion was built in memory of the former Meiling Middle School in the village. Meiling Middle School is located in Longwangtang, next to Xianrenjing. Founded in 1968, it was once a famous school in Yinzhou District, which cultivated a large number of talents for the society, and later closed down with the villagers moving to other places.

There are several waterfalls and pools on the stream near Longwangtang. The scenery is very beautiful, which can be used for sightseeing and leisure. It is a very good water resort.

The most beautiful scenery in Xiashankeng Village is in rainy weather, rainy season or after a typhoon. During this period, when it rains, the mountains are misty and picturesque; After the rain, the stream is full, the green hills and beautiful waters are as clean as washing, and the scenery is pleasant.
