According to the online guide, I went to Shi Road, Shantang Street, Pingjiang Road, and Guanqian Street, the four most famous snack streets in the ancient city of Suzhou. The result is that Baidu is Baidu after all. For those who like snacks, Guanqian Street is the first choice, followed by Shantang Street, and Pingjiang Road. As for the stone road, you can completely ignore it. Guanqian Street is a modern street. The advantage is that it has a wide range of categories and a large number of them. It has famous old stores such as Songhe Tower, Deyue Tower, Zhu Hongxing Noodle House, and snacks from all over the country. You can have both dinner and snacks. The area is huge and you can choose from. It is too rich, but the disadvantage is that there are no authentic traditional handmade Suzhou snacks, they are all mass-produced versions; Shantang Street is both a food street and an attraction street, with many traditional old shops. Most of the snacks on Shantang Street are freshly made and sold. It feels really good to enjoy the ancient city of Suzhou while eating snacks. The shortcomings are also obvious. Since it is an ancient city, the ancient roads are naturally not very long, so eating and walking are a bit unfinished. But there’s absolutely no problem keeping you full along the way. Pingjiang Road is also an old road similar to Shantang Street, but the scenery does not mean that the snacks are OK. The types of snacks are very simple and can be summed up with closed eyes as Suzhou pastries, small fish, shrimps, fish balls, drinks and a variety of common molded dried vegetables and meat patties. I really don’t recommend them! As for Stone Road, I really can’t find any reason to call it a food street. If I insist on calling it a food street, I can only say that there are so many restaurants for eating.
