Hello, everyone. I majored in network and new media in Shaanxi University of Architecture and Technology, and applied for journalism and communication in Sichuan University. The initial test score was 382 points, 7 points in politics, 69 points in English, -126 points in specialized courses, and 117 points in specialized courses, and successfully landed.
First, about choosing a school
I decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination during the winter vacation of my junior year. After I decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination, the next step was to choose a postgraduate major. Because of my own major, I am interested in news and new media, so I decided the major of news and communication, which is new biography. Finally, I decided on the school for postgraduate entrance examination. I am from Sichuan, and I am going back to Chengdu for development after graduation, so I finally chose 985 Sichuan University. In fact, many people find it difficult to choose a school, but it's really not that difficult. My own point of view is that if you want to take the postgraduate entrance examination, you must go to the best place in the region you want to go, because the resources, environment and experience must be different from other schools. Since they all spend the same amount of time and energy, why not give yourself the best ~ but don't give up or change easily when you choose! Of course, there will be many people who advise you not to apply for such a good school during your postgraduate entrance examination. Just get a degree certificate for a postgraduate degree. But you must not let this kind of voice interfere with yourself, and prove to them with your own actions and achievements that it is the best response. Generally speaking, when you choose a school, you can search the annual enrollment ratio, score line, tuition fee, scholarship system, and even the previous real questions. Looking at the real questions, you can sometimes estimate whether you can master relevant knowledge. In recent years, the number of applicants in Sichuan University is increasing, and the enrollment ratio is also on the rise. However, under this fierce competition, I don't know if the number of applicants will change this year. It is quite scary that the score of the re-examination for the master's degree will rise directly to 397 this year. It is difficult to take the postgraduate entrance examination, but this year's topic still pays attention to practice relatively. Generally speaking, the foundation is flexible. As long as the usual study is solid and standardized, it should be no problem.
Second, there are quite a lot of bibliographies about specialized courses
The new biography of Sichuan University for postgraduate entrance examination, which can be found in official website, or many college introductions in WeChat official account will include bibliographies. The initial trial of the new biography is mainly divided into two parts: theory+business. Theories are communication theory, news theory, Chinese news history and foreign news history; The business is mainly for writing, editing and evaluating policies. Here is a summary of the bibliography:
Theoretical part:
① General Theory of Mass Communication, Li Ling, Sichuan University Press
② Communication Course, Guo Qingguang, Renmin University of China Press
③ Introduction to Journalism, Li Liangrong, Fudan University Press
④ Introduction to Network Communication, 4th edition. People's University of China Press (it must be the fourth edition)
⑤ History of China News Communication Fang Hanqi, People's University of China Press
Business part:
① News Collection and Writing Tutorial, Cao Hui, Sichuan University Press
② News Editing, Cai Wen, People's University of China Press
③ Network. Ma Shaohua, Higher Education Press
⑤ Introduction to Radio and Television, Ouyang Hongsheng, Sichuan University Press
The newly-introduced specialized course is not easy to prepare. To prepare theory, business and history, you need to recite, practice and understand, and even ask you to have your own unique views and keep abreast of the trends and hot spots in academic circles.
Basis:
This part is just learning books. When reviewing and annotating, I suggest dividing it into modules such as communication, journalism and semiotics, which is not easy to be confused. Reading reference books for the first time is the process of laying the foundation, and you may be confused for the first time. However, as you read more and more books, the theories in the books gradually begin to understand, which is also the reason why you can see your own meaning after reading a hundred times. In this part, everyone must take notes and comb it into a framework. It is better to find the review point accurately in the follow-up.
Pragmatic:
In practice, the two most important sections are comments and news, so you should practice your writing before the exam, including the types of business questions that appear in the real questions of Sichuan University, such as writing Weibo news and interviewing outlines. It's right to follow the real question. When practicing writing, you can first read the People's Daily and other professional media to imitate writing. Time is tight in the examination room, so it is best to form your own template for the exam.
Finally, I would like to remind you that the thesis may be a point that people often overlook, but it is really very important. In particular, many of the postgraduate entrance examination topics of Sichuan University are from the papers of teachers of Sichuan University, so we must attach importance to the papers. At that time, I mainly paid attention to some academic cows and academic journals, such as journalists, news and writing, the press and so on. Some people may worry about reading too many papers. This is to pay attention to the methods and skills of reading papers. Of course, we can't read all the papers. After all, we don't have that much time, so before reading the papers, we should skim them and judge whether the question is important or not. If it's not important, we should skip it, record the inquiry if it's important, and select the papers from important test sites and the papers that we haven't touched before to focus on reading. The purpose of the paper is, firstly, to understand the hot topics in the industry and accumulate ideas, cases and sentences for answering questions; secondly, to learn the structure of the paper and prepare for the discussion. I wasted a lot of time when I first came into contact with the paper in the early stage. It took me almost half an hour to read a paper slowly, word by word, and I made many notes. This seems to be very serious, but in fact it is very inefficient. To put it bluntly, it is to move my own futility.
Hotspots:
For the new biography, this major is completely different from other postgraduate entrance examinations that only recite and don't touch the mobile phone. The new biography major is closely related to the acquisition of new information, and all kinds of hot spots, news information and resources are very useful information for the new biography entrance examination. Therefore, it is very necessary to collect monthly hot information. The classification of hotspots is mainly news hotspots and industry hotspots. News hotspots: Generally, there will be weekly or monthly hotspots and extended knowledge points. It's right to watch more CCTV news and People's Daily Online. Industry hotspots: generally obtained from published new industry regulations and papers. It should also be noted that the accumulation of hot spots is not simply copying, but deep thinking and extension, which may be difficult in the early stage, but such a habit must be formed. Hot spots must be accumulated by themselves. Although some institutions will integrate hot spots later, the effect of their own finishing is completely different from that of others.
true questions:
true questions are an important threshold to understand the direction of the test center of the school. Analyzing the true questions can help to divide the key points and work hard in the right direction to achieve efficiency. At first, I didn't know how to discuss the questions at all, but later I enrolled in the postgraduate entrance examination class and was trained in real questions, which was really effective. Discussion, my method is, theory+explanation+case. The theory is fully backed up and understood, as long as the explanation makes sense, and the cases need to be accumulated. WeChat WeChat official account is the most important artifact of case accumulation. Note that Sichuan University is particularly fond of case questions.
About English:
Second, English
English is the earliest subject I prepared, because I started learning English before I knew what to learn. I scored 559 and 47 in CET-4 and CET-6, respectively, and I have a general English foundation, which does not exclude English learning.
words: many people recommend loving words and the little red book, but I personally think that memorizing words with a little red book is enough, because the little red book is really thick, and you will encounter many words you can't know when you do real questions, so finishing a set of real questions and sorting out a word will increase your vocabulary a lot. Moreover, after all, everyone's foundation and ability are different, and the amount of words mastered is different, so that they can better adapt to their own recitation, and they will find that many words in real questions appear very frequently, which will make them more impressive.
Reading experience: I bought Zhang Jian's Yellow Book (plus Tang Chi's English reading explanation video and Tang Jing's English translation explanation video), and I can start reading real questions in early July. I suggest reading the topic first (but don't read the options below the topic, too much can't be remembered and easily confused with the original), then reading the article, reading the article with questions, and it is easier to find the problem setting point when you see the relevant content. After reading an article, don't be in a hurry to get the answer, then read the article intensively to see the topic you are just not sure about, and finally look at the answer and translation. All right and wrong options should be found back in the original text to find out why they are right and wrong. I took English II, but I also read English I (for a few years, the rarity of English made me doubt my life). I began to brush the whole set of reading in September, that is, I did four articles at a time, and gradually improved the speed of reading questions. Be sure to do the real questions! ! !
Composition experience: I wrote my composition because I knew that there were many people reciting Wang Jiangtao's composition book, so I went to Weibo to collect some composition templates shared by bloggers who shared the postgraduate entrance examination materials. As a result, I didn't summarize my own template, so the composition didn't play well here, so everyone must learn a lesson, prepare early, accumulate more words and phrases, and form their own template.
About politics:
When you look at the experience post, it is generally said that politics does not account for a large proportion in the postgraduate entrance examination, but this is for engineering majors. The political score line of engineering majors is generally low, but for the majors of humanities and social sciences, the requirements are actually higher, generally more than 6 points, while it is easy to get political points, but it is difficult to get high scores, so everyone should pay attention to politics. Many candidates who are newly transferred this year have failed to pass the line because of politics. For politics, multiple-choice questions are as important as the reading part in English, especially multiple choices and one score. Politics usually begins in June and July, so it's true that everyone follows Xiao Da's book publishing time to review it. I started in June, and I read a chapter every day, and then do the corresponding 1 questions.
After reading it for the first time, especially the part of Ma Yuan, I really didn't understand it at all, and the knowledge points were all confused. I also brushed the essence and talked about 1 questions, which was much faster than the first time, and it was better understood with Xiao Da's video class. The big analysis questions can't open the gap, everyone's scores are similar, and the gap lies in the multiple-choice questions! ! ! Therefore, some finely divided knowledge points and confusing points must be clearly remembered. Analysis questions, directly recited Xiao Da's eight sets of volumes and four sets of volumes, four sets of volumes must be recited, must be, there is no reason. This year, Xiao didn't bet much on the big question, but he also bet a small part. I also wrote all the papers with the four sets of papers I memorized and pieced together the materials.
Experience in preparing for the second interview:
I thought that I would go all out if I passed the first interview. Besides, the score of 397,4+this year is not an advantage at all, so the second interview must not be slack. There is no English test in the second interview of Sichuan University, but it mainly depends on the teacher's mood. For example, the teacher suddenly wants to speak English during the interview, which is helpless. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare well for insurance, at least the basic English questions such as self-introduction, hometown food and reasons for choosing a school should be prepared.
In professional classes, it is better to review the theory first, and then practice oral expression in combination with current events. The logic of answering questions is very important, so you should pay attention to it every time you practice. In addition, Sichuan University is required to submit a research idea when submitting materials for the second interview, so you can search the research fields of teachers and read more papers published by teachers in recent years, which will be used in the second interview to talk about research ideas and answer corresponding questions. The last point is to be confident. Since you can enter the second interview, it shows that you are good enough to have this qualification. I always believe that this is a two-way choice.
Fourth, the final conclusion
There are bound to be various external influences in the preparation process. For example, often listening to friends say how many times they have recited it makes me feel anxious, or my roommate always gets up earlier than me, which makes me under great pressure. If you are also troubled by these problems, I would like to say that others can recite quickly, I remember well. Get up early, I'll sleep for half an hour and study refreshed. Endorsement is not the number of times but the effect, and learning is not the length of time but the efficiency. Follow your own pace, have your own progress, and do what you should do at each stage. There is no shortcut to learning, but the learning methods are cost-effective, and the cost-effective method is the so-called "shortcut". For myself, the framework and focus of my previous reference books were stupid methods, which wasted the time when I could have read more reference books, so I could adjust them in time during the summer vacation to catch up with the progress. For another example, endorsement is an activity that requires a high degree of concentration. When you are tired in the later stage, you will be empty and in a daze. If you don't recite a few words in the morning, I think you should simply stop reciting and learn something that you can learn. It is also a waste of time to memorize it by rote. It is better to wait for the state to be good. Postgraduate entrance examination is really a process of testing mentality. You often feel that you have wasted your time and have no effect. When you do the questions, you are slow and the effect is poor. You will think that you are finished and don't need to take the exam. If you have any feelings or complaints, you can vent them with friends, relatives and even friends. Who knows if you can do it until the end? You can't even say that yourself. You are already very smart, so as long as you have perseverance and try your best, you will be the one who will go ashore in the end!
