Qingdao has Laoshan Mountain! Laoshan, located in the east of Qingdao, Shandong Province, was called Laoshan, Laoshan and Aoshan in ancient times. It is the main mountain range of Shandong Peninsula. The main peak of Laoshan Mountain is called "Giant Peak", also known as "Laoding", with an altitude of 1 132.7 meters. It is the highest peak of China's coastline and is known as "the first famous mountain in the sea".

Due to the influence of ocean and complex terrain, there is more precipitation, humid air and obvious microclimate in the eastern mountainous area of Laoshan Mountain. There is the name of "Little Jiangnan" near Taiqing Palace, and "Little Guandong" to the north of Jufeng. The precipitation in the hilly area in the middle is moderate, forming a semi-humid and mild area. There are twelve scenic spots in Laoshan Mountain: Giant Peak, Mingxia Cave, Zhu Wei Temple, Baiyun Cave, Yin Chao Waterfall, Qipanshi, Hualoufeng, Lion Peak, Danding Cave, Baxiandun, Taiqing Palace and Longtan Waterfall.
