Food prohibited from entering the country:

1, fresh fruits and solanaceae vegetables;

2. Eggs, skins, hoof bones and horns and meat (raw meat, sausage, ham, bacon, floss, etc.). );

3 animal aquatic products, milk and dairy products, animal blood and its products.

Food that is allowed to be brought into the country but must be declared for quarantine:

1, dried fruits, dried vegetables, pickled products and frozen vegetables;

2. Non-seed cereals and beans.

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region strictly controls the import and export of all prohibited/controlled articles.

Common prohibited/controlled items include dangerous drugs, psychotropic substances, controlled chemicals, antibiotics, firearms, ammunition, weapons, firecrackers and fireworks, strategic goods, rough diamonds, animals, plants, endangered species, telecommunications equipment, game, meat, poultry, eggs and formula powder.

Passengers who bring the above articles into/out of the HKSAR without a valid license, permit, health certificate or written permission may be prosecuted and the articles concerned will be seized and confiscated.

The punishment for passengers who bring prohibited/controlled articles into the country will depend on the relevant laws governing the import and export of such articles.
