Everyone should be familiar with Xishuangbanna. You can read the relevant guide when you go there. However, this guide is relatively detailed. The main issues are transportation, climate and other issues. Transportation
Aircraft: Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport is currently the largest and busiest airport in Yunnan Province except the provincial capital Kunming Changshui Airport. Many cities across the country already have direct flights, especially the flight from Kunming to Jinghong City. Non-stop from morning to night, the flight time is about 45 minutes. Except for holidays and Songkran Festival, the air ticket price from Kunming to Jinghong should be within 1,000. The airport is about 6-7 kilometers away from the city center. Now there are direct buses from the airport to Wanda International Tourism Resort, Gaozhuang Xishuangjing, and Manting Park, which is very convenient. Moreover, most hotels in Xishuangbanna can provide airport pick-up services, so you can inquire when booking a hotel.
Bus: There are buses from Kunming Southern Bus Terminal to Jinghong. There are 16 buses a day. The first bus departs at 7:50, and the following buses start at 8:00 and run every half hour. The ticket costs 223 yuan and the journey takes about 9 hours.
Self-driving: It is about 580 kilometers from Kunming to Jinghong City. The entire journey is on a high-speed road. It passes through Yuxi, Honghe, and Pu'er along the way. Including lunch time, it takes about 7 and a half hours to arrive from Kunming.
Local transportation: There are buses in Jinghong City, but they are very few. They only come once every 30 minutes, so they can be ignored. The most commonly used taxis in the local area are Didi Taxi or Didi Express, which are more convenient. There is a shuttle bus to Menghai County or Mengla County. Take the bus at Jinghong City Passenger Terminal. It takes about 2 hours to reach Menghai County and about 3 and a half hours to Mengla County. The car rental industry in Jinghong City is relatively developed. You can pick up a car at the airport. It is also a good idea to rent a car locally for travel. Climate
Xishuangbanna is a place where there is no winter, and the climate is similar to Thailand. The temperature is the highest from March to May every year, with less precipitation, and the maximum temperature is close to 40 degrees; the precipitation increases from June to September, and it is very hot when it is not raining; October to February of the following year is the most comfortable, but the temperature difference between morning and evening is large. You should bring a jacket when visiting Banna during this period. From December to January, the highest temperature is sometimes less than 20 degrees. Food
Menghai Chicken Feet Cold Drink Shop
This is a cold salad shop that the locals took me to eat. It is not big and only opens after 12 noon every day. It is me The most delicious cold salad restaurant I have ever eaten in Jinghong, and it is also a restaurant I must check in every time I go to Jinghong. Chopped chicken feet, pounded potatoes, pounded tofu, pounded hairy tripe. In short, put everything you can think of into it with a series of seasonings such as lemon, spicy millet, coriander, etc., put it into a wooden mortar and pound it, and mix the seasonings. The main dish is moderately hot and sour. It is every Jinghong person’s favorite afternoon food. It is full of local characteristics, so what is the most distinctive thing in Jinghong? Apart from the well-known Dai flavor, it must be cold salad. If you don’t like spicy food, you can tell the boss to put less chili pepper when you buy it. Their passion fruit juice is also good. This time we went during the Spring Festival, and they were closed for the holiday.

Zimilu Cold Drink Shop
Zimilu, which has appeared on TV programs, is made of crushed ice. There is nothing happier than eating a cup of refreshing purple rice on a hot day. It is also the place where I have to report every time I go to Jinghong. Sometimes I have to have a cup every day. I still miss it when I return to Kunming. Their store also sells cold salad, but it’s not as delicious as the one mentioned above. Still closed during the Spring Festival.
Address: Yiwu Road, Jinghong City, just opposite the Menghai Chicken Feet Shop.
__Igloo
A relatively old cold drink shop in Jinghong City, selling all Dai-style snacks, including jelly, cold salad, various cold drinks, and simple rice bowls Fried rice, a place where locals like to spend time in the afternoon. From a small store in the beginning, it has now opened many branches, but I think the taste of the main store is the most authentic. I recommend their lemon jelly and mixed fruit smoothie. The smoothie is really a big bowl.

Grilled Fish Tribe
A supper shop hidden deep in the alley, open at 7pm every night The seats were packed as soon as the door opened, and it lasted until 1 or 2 o'clock at night. If you want to eat authentic late-night snacks in Banna, you must give up Manting Xiaozhai recommended in all guide books. This is the most authentic late-night snack restaurant. Their grilled carp is the best and must be tasted. The grilled dried carp and oil-choked carp are also very delicious.
Address: Go into the small alley diagonally opposite the Dalian Hotel in Jinghong City and go all the way to the end. On the left hand side is
Laohui Roast Chicken
This store Mainly engaged in Menghai roast chicken, the most authentic Menghai roast chicken, a few blocks away from the famous Gaozhuang Manfeilong roast chicken. There is a big difference between Menghai roasted chicken and Dai-style roasted chicken. It is made from a whole young Banna chicken and roasted over a fire until it is cooked. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender, with a light sheen of oil. It can be torn apart by hand and dipped in special ingredients. of chili noodles and tuck into it. Their porridge is also very special and goes perfectly with roasted chicken. The fried tofu is also delicious.

Manhuisu Dai Food Village
This is a village specializing in Dai cuisine. There are countless Dai-style restaurants, which are very concentrated. Personally, I think they all taste the same. When you get here, you can just find one based on your feeling. Each restaurant will launch a set menu, ranging from more than 200 yuan to more than 600 yuan per table, depending on the number of people. Of course, you can also order dishes according to your preferences. There are mainly several dishes: glutinous rice with pounded ganba and moss, which is delicious when eaten with hands; pineapple rice in pineapple, which is different from Thailand. The pineapple rice here is made of glutinous rice and is sweet; good_ Suo (Dai pronunciation) is a kind of glutinous rice cake wrapped in banana leaves, with the natural fragrance of banana leaves and the viscosity of glutinous rice; lemongrass grilled fish, grilled ribs, grilled pork belly; tomato rice cake, made from local unique trees After the tomatoes are minced, add various condiments and eat them with cucumbers or fried pork rinds. In addition, you must try the peanut sauce, which is only available in Banna. It is similar to tomato sauce, but not spicy at all. It is very fragrant when dipped in wild vegetables.
Address: Manhuisuo Village, Jinghong City, about 6 kilometers away from the city, close to Wanda Tourist Resort. Recommended routes
Don’t go with a group when going to Banna. Don’t go with a group. Botanical Garden, the most worth visiting place in Banna is the Botanical Garden. Attractions worth visiting include the Botanical Garden, Wangtianshu, Dai Garden, Manting Park and Zongfo Temple.
Botanical Garden: The best way to go to the Botanic Garden is to take the shuttle bus at Jinghong Bus Terminal. It costs 21 yuan. There are many buses. Go there early. The Botanical Garden is divided into two gardens: the east and west. The west garden has beautiful scenery, especially there is Huating is really nice. East Garden is mainly a tropical rainforest. If you plan to go to Wangtianshu Scenic Area, don’t go to East Garden. It’s not very fun. If you don’t go to the East Garden, you don’t need a battery car. The West Garden can be visited in about two and a half hours, which is pretty good. You can also take the shuttle bus back.
Wangtianshu: Personally, I think Wangtianshu Scenic Area is worth visiting. The woods are very humid, the temperature is very comfortable, and the air is very fresh. Overall, it feels good. The canopy corridor is 120 meters long and worth a try if you are looking for something exciting. The tallest one is a wishing tree, 84m tall and over 1,000 years old. Wangtianshu Scenic Area is 140 kilometers away from Jinghong City. The cheapest and most convenient way is to sign up for a tour. This one is available on Meituan for a little over 200.
Dai Homeland: This is the settlement of the Dai people. If you want to experience the Dai culture, it is best to go there a day in advance and then stay there for one night. There is not much development there, and the locals are very enthusiastic and want to eat Dai food. If you want, just find a place to stay locally, including accommodation, you can bargain, it's not expensive, and it's worth staying for a day.
Manting, Zongfo Temple: Manting is in the urban area and is the royal garden of the Dai King. Although it is very different from the Forbidden City, the 30 yuan student ticket is still worth a visit. There are also openings at 10:00 A good elephant show, it is recommended to enter the park at 9:00 am. Clearing starts at 5:30 in the evening. There is an additional charge, which is more than 200. There is a bonfire party. Then there is the Zongfo Temple, just behind Manting. It is a free scenic spot, but you must go. Personally, I think it is more worth visiting than the Great Buddha Temple. The Great Buddha Temple is newly built, has expensive fees, and does not have the historical sense and religious atmosphere of the Zongfo Temple.
There are also some scenic spots, such as Wanda Park. Tickets for the water park cost more than 200, and the fees inside are more expensive. If you want to play, you can go there. You can also go to Gaozhuang if you have time. It is a shopping place for tourists and there is quite a lot of food. As for the virgin forest, Jino Village is really not recommended. The probability of seeing wild elephants in Wild Elephant Valley is too small!
There is a lot of food in Banna. There is a riverside night market and fruit market that you must go to. Locals also go there often. Definitely not pit. If you want to eat Dai food, I recommend going to the Dai Food Park, which is near Minhang Road and is more authentic.
