1. To practice

Monks should always shine, and they don't need to seek for it outside. They can't find it outside, but in their own nature, they have everything.
When we first started practicing, the most obstacle to our hard work is the lust of men who are greedy for women and women who are greedy for men. This is the most fundamental problem.
remember, monks! Don't have a cause of pollution with anyone, it will entangle you and make you degenerate.
now that we have the human body, what are we waiting for if we don't practice by the human body? Wait until you lose your body, and then come back to practice. It will be too late.
To learn Buddhism, you should show your sincerity, do everything you say and do.
In the Dojo, we should save everything, as the saying goes, "cherish the permanent things, such as the pearls in the eye".
neither love nor hate is the middle way. Monarch, what path? It is to cultivate this middle way, treat everyone equally and be compassionate, but be careful not to fall into the cage of love.
If you practice Buddhism today, you will become a Buddha tomorrow, and you want to dig a well with a sledge. Without this truth, practice is "iron-core grinding embroidery needles, and success will come naturally".
To learn incantations, you must be sincere and upright. If your mind is not upright, all incantations you learn are evil. Only when your mind is upright can you learn incantations.
nameless has two accomplices, two guys. What is it? Is food and color. An appetite, a lust, these two help ignorance to do all kinds of bad things.
"If you want to learn well, you should look for wrongs; To become a Buddha, you must be possessed first. " If you don't want to learn well, injustice won't come to you; The more I want to learn well, the more injustice I find, and I want to settle my debts.
Buddhism and magic are all in one mind. Buddha has compassion. Demons have a winning heart.
If you really know how to practice, all your daily activities are practice.
practice cannot be sold everywhere. Selling advertisements. When you sell practice, you will be possessed.
We monks, no matter what the occasion, should keep a low profile and not shine.
In our hearts, "He" exists, not "Self"; He is here, but his heart is not there.
to lecture is to cultivate wisdom, to meditate is to cultivate meditation, and not to talk nonsense is to cultivate precepts.
"Trouble is Bodhi". If you can use it, trouble is Bodhi. If you can't use it, Bodhi will become trouble.
To practice is to "cultivate stupidity", which means being stupid. The stupider you practice, the better. You are too stupid to know anything and have no delusions.
ignorance means not understanding. The root of ignorance is love.
the main purpose of monasticism is to live and die, not to cultivate for induction.
A monk is as clean as his eyes, and can't hold a grain of sand.
Gambling can create sinful karma, giving can accumulate merits, and meditation can turn fools into wisdom.
we practice, live in groups and keep our mouths shut, and sit alone to guard our hearts. When you are with the public, don't talk too much. When you are alone, you should be wary of selfish delusions. Over time, you will be able to be single-minded.
suffering is suffering, and enjoying happiness is eliminating happiness.
a true monk, "mind your own actions, live, sit and lie down and never leave home". Don't be a mirror, just look at others instead of yourself.
persistence is the human heart, and perseverance is the Tao heart.
if you want someone to live, be a living dead first. Now I think of myself as dead, that is, I am not greedy, angry or stupid.
people who study Buddhism must make a wish, and hope that they can spur themselves to the right path and will not go astray. Making a vow and not carrying it out is like opening a vain tree.
the tongue has the merit of speaking, and the karma has the sin of saying yes and saying no. If you don't say anything, but say no, or say evil words, that's twelve thousand sins.
Monks, whether at home or abroad, regardless of their age, are always compassionate and happy to give up, and naturally they can feel it.
To cultivate a monastery is to cultivate honesty. As the saying goes, "Sincerity leads to spirituality".
When we are alive, we should do good deeds immediately and take a breath. If we have a little strength, we should do good deeds and accumulate virtue. Don't just rely on the good roots accumulated in previous lives to enjoy all the blessings in this life.
if you are greedy and insatiable, you will fall into hell in the future: if you are angry, you will become a hungry ghost all day long; If you are infatuated and run amok, you will become an animal.
the biggest sin of all beings is infatuation, and you can't get out of it all the time in infatuation day and night. If you put your lust on learning Buddha and never forget to learn Buddha, you will soon become a Buddha.
a truly enlightened person will not say that he is enlightened. Because saints should never reveal their true feelings in person, anyone who calls himself a Buddha or a bodhisattva is an evil spirit.
a person with great virtue is not in position or age. His words are silent, naturally showing awesome character. This fear is not fear; Fear keeps people away from him, and what he fears is respect, not fear.
Everyone has three thieves. Their names are greed and ignorance. Let's not kill it and turn it into a bodhi species.
Second, observe precepts and endure humiliation
A man of practice is to cultivate the ego. If there is no me, everything can be tolerated, and when the realm comes, it is not tempted. Think of yourself as vanity.
becoming a Buddha is that easy! It's impossible to become a Buddha without ceasing to commit adultery. There is no such way in the world. Today, most people are greedy for luck and shortcuts. When they hear something mysterious, they are confused and fall into the magic net.
why do people lie? Because his own interests are lost, he is afraid of suffering.
if you commit lewdness, you are easy to kill, steal and swear. Therefore, committing lewd precepts and killing thieves are included.
if you keep the five precepts and ten good deeds, you will be born into the realm of man and nature. If you are greedy and ignorant, you will fall into evil ways.
If you know the precepts, you can go deep into all Buddhism. If you don't understand the precepts, you are like a cloud in the void, floating and floating, with no foundation at all.
there is only one commandment, that is, unselfishness.
Be diligent in keeping precepts, and pay attention to where people can't see you, not to be diligent in front of people, or to keep precepts in front of people.
When we study Buddhism, we learn not to annoy others. Therefore, Buddhists should be vegetarian, because eating meat will hurt the lives of other sentient beings.
fasting is a loss to live, because you can't satisfy your appetite for food and enjoy the delicious food; But if you don't eat fast and eat a lot of meat, you will have to settle accounts with hell after you die. I'm telling you the truth with my conscience. Don't be greedy for food and enjoyment, and you won't be fooled after death.
If a Buddhist student doesn't observe the precepts, it means that there is a hole under the bottle, and the water will leak as soon as it is put in. If he can observe the precepts, it will become leak-free over time.
no matter what method, as long as you are patient, you will achieve something. If you don't endure, you can't practice anything.
what should I do when I become a monk? Is to cultivate the path of humiliation.
forbearance is priceless, and everyone can't use it well. If you can use it, everything will be fine.
Monks should endure things that people can't stand, things that people can't let go, meals that people can't eat, and clothes that people can't wear. In a word, what people can't do is needed.
when we are practicing morality, sin is "indisputable" when it is important. It is indisputable not to argue with anyone. Dispute is dispute.
We should not be greedy for anything, be content and be able to endure. Everyone ignores this supreme magic method. Therefore, if you don't fight and be greedy, you can live a long life. If you fight, be greedy, stir up and disturb, you will have a lot of sins. If you want to leave the three realms, it is also useless.
3. Zen meditation and chanting Buddha
Why don't we know the true colors? Because "my self" has not been removed, "selfishness" has not been removed.
participation in Zen meditation means observing, observing what? Observe the prajna. Teach you to be comfortable here, not to watch him. See if you are there?
people who participate in meditation should understand the fundamental problems clearly. What problem? It's just a habit problem. When we play Zen Seven, we get rid of bad habits and bad habits.
everyone meditates in the meditation hall, which is the exam. See who can get into the Buddha's fruit position. How can I get in? There must be no body and mind inside and no world outside.
When people participate in meditation, they make two kinds of mistakes: one is falling off and the other is being groggy. Either daydreaming or sleeping in meditation.
Zen meditation should be patient and long-term. The secret of Zen meditation is to endure, even if you can't help it, you must endure it, endure it to the extreme, suddenly understand and be enlightened.
When the Zen meditation comes to the heat, not only do you have no delusions, but your temper is also smaller, your troubles are less, your character is higher, and your tolerance is greater.
why don't we correspond to Tao? It is because the mad heart has no rest.
Patience in meditation is the capital of enlightenment.
When we meditate, we will have a chance to be enlightened, and our own nature will be as bright as before, just as spring returns to the earth and everything breeds.
People who really meditate are really chanting Buddha. Those who really recite Buddhism are also really involved in Zen. The person who really keeps the precepts is also the one who really meditates.
whoever is not dyed is a Buddha. Whoever is infected is a sentient being. What is dyeing? In a nutshell, I can't see through it, I can't let it go, and I'm delusional all the time.
if you work hard at the right time, you don't know how to eat, and you don't know how to wear. What's more, you should put down what you have outside.
practice is not limited to meditation and chanting, but to practice anytime and anywhere. Don't be so divided, let alone strive for power and profit, strive to be a leader and dominate others, and seek performance in front of master.
the Tao is single-minded, the strategy is not brave, and the soldiers are fine but not many.
To honestly recite the Buddha means to recite the Buddha in this place, having no delusions, not wanting to eat or drink tea, and forgetting everything. This is to honestly recite the Buddha.
If you read Buddha, Buddha will read you, just like sending a wireless telegram to Amitabha. This is called inductive Daojiao. If you don't read him, he won't get it, so you must hold a name.
When chanting a mantra, it is necessary to recite it from the heart, and the mantra can also answer the mind. The mantra, the mantra, the mantra and the heart are together, and they will not be separated, and they will be read without reading.
reciting Buddha's rites and receiving Buddha's rites can increase your happiness. That is to say, worshipping Buddha is a feeling, and receiving gifts is a response. In this way, it is Daojiao.
Fourth, becoming a monk
Four or more monks should live in harmony and be called monks. They live in harmony, and there is no struggle. A single monk cannot be called a monk.
monks should strictly observe the four dignity of walking, living, sitting and lying down. The so-called "walking like the wind, sitting like a bell, standing like a pine, lying like a bow".
you can't think about being born, and you can't let go of the world law. It's impossible to have two boats, and you have to go to Jiangbei and cross Jiangnan.
You see, all the ancient eminent monks and great virtues got enlightenment from asceticism, and none of their ancestors got enlightenment from enjoyment. Even after searching the Tripitaka, they couldn't find anyone.
what are the criteria for choosing an abbot? The first condition is to have no temper. Treat people kindly, have popularity everywhere, do not oppress anyone with power, and act in a democratic style, which is respectful and respectful.
monks can be supported, but not greedy. A true Buddhist disciple is one who is not greedy for support.
Now the two disciples who have become monks can no longer work hard on their reputation, but should have the spirit of replacing the suffering of all sentient beings and the equal heart of saving all sentient beings.
If monks don't master meditation, recite sutras and strictly observe the precepts, they will fall into three ways if they rely on Buddha for food and clothes.
Being a monk is an example to your family. If you don't do a good job as an example, you will lose confidence and influence in your family, so you must be a monk and look like one.
A monk must have the right knowledge and the right view. If he doesn't have the right knowledge and the right view, he will definitely walk into the magic path and be captured by sadas. Monks should * * * act in concert, not be original by themselves, but do whatever they want.
"single-mindedness is the spirit, and separation is the cover". What is single-mindedness? Single-mindedness must stop wanting to love, even if you become a monk and repair 8 thousand, it will not be done, so this is important.
We should cultivate morality at all times, cultivate virtue to perfection, and cultivate Tao to perfection. This is a monk.
It is our duty and our responsibility for monks to promote Buddhism. Therefore, we should remember that we are promoting Buddhism here, and every move is to explain to all beings.
V. Causality, Repentance and Reform
We are led by karma, so-called "karma is involuntary" and we are born in this world to repay it. Because the karma we made in the past is different, we are rewarded differently in this life, so-called "karma is intertwined".
The word "meat" means whether the person being eaten and the person eating meat are outside or individuals. People who have been eaten have become animals. People who eat meat have a relationship with those who are eaten, and they can't solve their grievances and cover each other.
If we really want to disinfect the world, we must all be vegetarian and not eat meat.
the ancients said that "a gentleman makes life". A moral person, a gentleman, can transform his destiny beyond his destiny. Why not be lucky is that you are psychologically unlucky. If you plant evil causes, of course, you will be rewarded with evil. If you can change from being good, you can avoid evil.
minor faults are not easy to correct, but once they are corrected, there will be determination.
As the saying goes, "He who sees my faults is my teacher", and this person who can tell our faults is our good knowledge, so we should thank him and not hate him.
reverence changes a strong disposition into a kind disposition. To worship Buddha is to worship the self-nature Buddha, and to become a Buddha in the future is also a self-nature Buddha.
why do people have magic karma? Just because in the past, I didn't listen to the teaching of good knowledge, I was not warned by good knowledge, and I was delusional and created evil karma. Therefore, this life was often entangled in evil karma and everything could not be fulfilled.
VI. Education
Nowadays, scholars are all for fame and fortune. "Understanding" and "fame and fortune" are similar in sound, but they are quite different in practice. A hundred thousand miles apart.
children grow up like twigs, with seven or eight branches, and they must cut off the horizontal branches before they will become pillars.
children, do you know what is the foundation of being a man? It is the eight virtues: filial piety, filial piety, loyalty, faithfulness, courtesy, righteousness, honesty and shame.
Why are youth problems rampant in the world now? Because parents only have children and don't care about teaching.
people without morality are really poor.
Our greed is higher than the sky, thicker than the earth and deeper than the sea. We can never fill a bottomless hole.
when someone asks me for dharma, I will teach him to eat less, wear less and sleep less. Because "reduce clothes and increase happiness, reduce food and increase life, and reduce sleep and increase wealth."
People don't live to eat. People should make contributions to the world, be virtuous to the people, and benefit the world. People should "be merciful for heaven and preach, and focus on the country and save the people".
I have never been busy for myself all my life, and I have never paid attention to my stinking bag.
why is the world getting worse every day? Because everyone is contending. This includes competition for fame, profit, power, status and, most importantly, color.
I beg for alms from you-that is, to turn all your tempers, all your ignorance, annoyance and resentment.
Natural disasters are not disasters in the sky, and there is no disaster in the sky, but we human beings are robbed. Man-made disasters are our own fault.
where should we start to develop Buddhism? I think the development of Buddhism must start with education.
If we start with education, children will understand Buddhism, and when they grow up, natural Buddhism will flourish.
