Everyone's perspective is different.
But overall Xi'an is a very good city.
Xi'an is located in the middle of the Guanzhong Plain, bordering the Weihe River to the north, the Qinling Mountains to the south, and eight rivers moistening Chang'an. It is a "World Historic City" determined by UNESCO in 1981. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, and the Silk Road
starting point.
In history, more than ten dynasties have established their capitals here, including Fenghao Capital City, Afang Palace of the Qin Dynasty, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Weiyang Palace and Changle Palace of the Han Dynasty, Daxing City of the Sui Dynasty, Daming Palace and Xingqing Palace of the Tang Dynasty, etc., which outlines the "Chang'an Complex".
Topography: The geological structure of Xi'an City spans two major units: the Qinling Geosynclinal Fold Belt and the North China Platform.
The Great Fault across the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains was created during the Yanshan Movement about 130 million years ago. Since the late Tertiary Period about 3 million years ago, neotectonic movements in the Qinling Geosynclinal Fold Belt south of the Great Fault have been extremely active.
The mountain rises sharply from the north to the south, creating the Qinling Mountains.
At the same time, the Weihe River Fault Depression, which belongs to the North China Platform to the north of the great fault, continued to subside, forming the Weihe River Plain under the combined action of aeolian loess cover and Weihe River alluvial action.
The altitude difference in Xi'an City ranks the highest among cities in the country.
The majestic and steep Qinling Mountains with beautiful peaks and the open, flat and fertile Weihe Plain have clear boundaries, forming the main body of Xi'an's landforms.
The main ridge of the Qinling Mountains ranges from 2,000 to 2,800 meters above sea level. The peak of Taibai Mountain at the southwest end is 3,867 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain in the central part of the continent.
