Xiakou County Chronicle says: "Wanshou Palace was built by businesses of six divisions in the southwest of Nanchang, Linchuan, Ji 'an, Rui 'an, Fuzhou and Jianchang during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty." The main hall is dedicated to Xu Zhenjun (Xu Xun, a Taoist in Jin Dynasty), which was the first palace-style building in Wuhan at that time.
