Kangding is a city in Sichuan province.

kangding city is located in the east of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and is the state capital of Ganzi Prefecture. With an area of 11,6 square kilometers, the city is dominated by Tibetans and inhabited by many ethnic groups such as Han, Hui, Yi and Qiang.

Kangding is a Chinese name, so it is named because it means "Kang" to the east of Danda Mountain. In Tibetan, Kangding is called more discount, which means Daqu (Yala River) and Zhequ (Zheduo River) where the two rivers meet. The old history was once translated into a frying furnace, and later translated into an arrow furnace, referred to as the furnace city.
