Yunxi Banqiao is located in Yunxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River. According to legend, Zheng Banqiao, a famous painter in Qing Dynasty and one of Yangzhou Eight Diagrams, built a Banqiao here to benefit the people, and later named Banqiao. When Zheng Banqiao built a bridge here, his favorite dish was dried bean curd made of Hanjiang River water and high-quality soybeans. In memory of Zheng Banqiao, the local people named this kind of dried bean curd "Banqiao dried bean curd", which has been circulated for 200 years since the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty.
