Prepare tools
We need to prepare cardboard, scissors, glue or tape and a small paper roll. Get these ready and we can start making them!

First, choose a piece of red cardboard as long as the paper roll and wrap it tightly on the paper roll.
Making lanterns "skirts" with pink cardboard
Then, take a piece of pink cardboard 2 cm longer than the paper roll and use it to make the "skirt" of lanterns. Don't forget to draw beautiful lines on the pink cardboard with a ruler, and then cut them gently with scissors. Note that only 1 cm is left at both ends. After all cutting, the two ends of the pink cardboard are glued together to form a perfect lantern "skirt".

Finally, the finished "skirt" is fixed on the paper roll, and the small lantern is finished!
Add a little decoration
If we want to make lanterns more beautiful, we can also add some decorations to them. For example, stick some colorful stars, or draw some cute little patterns. In this way, a unique handmade lantern was born!
