In 2013, I traveled to the south with my parents.
They euphemistically say that when their daughter is older, she should come out and see more of the world.
1. We started from Shandong and went to Shanghai as our first stop.
The high-rise buildings in Shanghai are an eye-opener for us!
The cups, bowls and dishes in Shanghai amaze us!
On the first day, our family entered an ordinary restaurant. The decoration was not very luxurious, so it should be affordable depending on the quality.
After the menu came out, my dad ordered 4 dishes.
There are shredded wild rice eels, longli fish, some spareribs and a soup dish.
Three dishes and one soup.
If nothing unexpected happens, something will happen!
After the food was served, my parents looked at each other in confusion. The plate with the food was quite big, but the portion was so small that I thought the chef had only filled half of it.
Especially the weight of the wild rice eel, I can only use the word "Yingying to hold" to describe its weight!
You can finish it with as little as two spoons of rice.
That exquisite and small bowl can be admired as a work of art in the palm of your hand!
We ordered two more dishes with tears in our eyes.
My dad tearfully asked for two more portions of rice, and he ate three portions by himself!
Then he looked at me lovingly and said: Fortunately you are a daughter. If you were a son, I think it would be more reliable for us to go back to the hotel and eat instant noodles.
The waiter kept looking at us with surprised eyes, as if he was seeing a big customer who had been hungry for three days.
That meal cost more than 400 yuan, and I was still not full.
Back at the hotel, my dad got up again in the middle of the night and cooked a pack of instant noodles for extra dinner.
Shanghai cuisine is really exquisite, but many dishes contain sugar, which is really unacceptable to me.
In addition, the prices are really high, and we don’t even dare to enter restaurants like luxury restaurants.
2. At the second stop, we took the train directly to Guangzhou.
It was May, and the weather in Guangzhou was already very hot. Many people wearing white vests, shorts and flip-flops were walking around on the streets.
The three of us, with an average height of 175cm, stood on the street and were obviously much taller than others!
Everyone said that Guangdong rice rolls are delicious. After settling in the hotel, my dad took us directly out to eat rice rolls.
The rice rolls sold in small street shops are of good quality and low price, so we chose an inconspicuous one.
As the saying goes, roadside stalls are really delicious!
My dad came in and took a look at the portions of the diners next to him, and then shouted directly: Boss, here are seven portions of rice rolls.
The whole audience looked sideways!
After the three of us finished seven portions of rice rolls, the whole audience was shocked!
After going out, my dad muttered, "What should I do if I don't have enough to eat?"
Easy to handle!
Across the door is a shop selling claypot rice.
Claypot rice is extremely rare in Shandong and we have never eaten it.
Our family of three came in and ordered three portions of claypot rice and one portion of soup.
Delicious!
Soft and glutinous sausage, fragrant soup and rice.
After eating, my dad took us into a fruit shop.
I plan to buy some fruit to eat back at the hotel.
As soon as I entered the door, I found a neatly arranged plate of apples in the middle of the fruit shop.
Out of curiosity, my dad asked the boss, how much do these apples cost?
The boss looked up at us and said, "Oh, you definitely won't buy Apple!"
At first glance, you are from the north!
Where are you from?
——From Shandong!
The boss looked confident: Then you are even less likely to buy apples. Apples from Shandong are good, and you must be tired of eating red Fuji. Let’s take a look at the mangoes and lychees that have just been released. You must like to eat these!
——Boss, you really understand us. Southerners are better at doing business than northerners.
