A model essay with the theme of taking you into it

1. To take you into Beijing, you must first ask where Beijing is. A geographer will tell you that Beijing is 116 east longitude and 4 north latitude. A historian will tell you that Yan, Ji, Yuyang, Jinzhongdu and Yuandadu are Beijing. The old man in the hutong will tell you that Nezha City with three heads and six arms built by Yao Guangxiao is Beijing. The white-collar workers in the office building will say that only 1.5_ every night is Beijing.

2. Where is Beijing?

3. Just behind this office building where white-collar workers work, I stood quietly. What came from my ears was the sales performance of various financial tables, among which there was occasionally a curse or two on the overpass next to it. Behind me is the busy Second Ring Road, but in front of me is a quiet street. The street sign next to it says "Sorghum Bridge". Who knows that this place name seems to commemorate the bumper harvest of crops, but it is commemorating a young hero?

4. Gao Liang, a character who only exists in unofficial history and legends. Legend has it that Yao Guangxiao, a military adviser, built Nezha City with three heads and six arms, which angered the local Dragon King in Beijing. The Dragon King left angrily and took away the water source in Beijing. Only Gao Liang, a civil servant of Manchu Dynasty, volunteered to grab water. Fortunately, he caught up with the Dragon King and regained the water source. Unfortunately, he was flooded and there were no bones left. According to legend, most of what he took back was bitter water, but the people of Beijing still thanked him for taking back life-saving water. Not only did he name the place where he died "Gaoliangqiao", but he also enshrined the sweet well he took back at the starting point where he rushed out of the city to catch water. It's a pity that "Gaoliangqiao" has been changed to "Sorghum Bridge".

5. In this way, the story of Gao Liang catching water has been passed down from generation to generation among Beijingers. I'd rather believe that this legend is true. A dashing teenager worked for the people's well-being but gave his life. It is his spirit sleeping here that makes us have a happy life today. It seems that only in this way can our commemoration be more meaningful.

6. I first heard that Gao Liang was reading picture books, and later I heard Degang Guo's drums sing this story.

7. On the way out of the city, we headed for the city and wanted to go to that sweet well to continue our search. On the way, I found another heroic spirit-Wen Tianxiang. If the "Sorghum Bridge" is still a memorial to Gao Liang, then the memorial to Wen Tianxiang is in a place that has nothing to do with him-Fuxue Hutong. When people of the Yuan Dynasty entered Beijing, they introduced the word "Hutong" into Beijing, and at the same time, they also brought into Beijing a generation of loyal minister Wen Tianxiang. I always think that if Wen Tianxiang is on the cliff, then Lu Xiufu will be abandoned by history books. The capital was fortunate enough to bury its loyal bones. When Wen Tianxiang thoughtfully died heroically, he injected a heroic spirit into everyone in this land. People in China also call it "backbone". However, the backbone left by Wen Tianxiang seems to be more complete only with the fragrance of Gao Jieer.

8. After bidding farewell to Wen Tianxiang, we continued to walk into the city, and soon we came to a place that I was familiar with and could no longer be familiar with-dengshikou. I have been studying and living here for seven years, from a child who doesn't know the taste of sorrow to a teenager who is graceful and pregnant. I heard "Mr. Song" order a bowl of rotten meat noodles, smelled the smell of "fried shrimp balls" floating in the oil pan and saw a round word "Shang". Everything from all over the world constitutes the most familiar landmark in Beijing. I have stood here more than once and said proudly, "This is Beijing", but the more I know, the more vague I am. Is this Beijing?

9. This is the west exit of Dengshi. On the left, there is the Commercial Press and Hanfen Building, and a few steps later, there is the capital theatre of human arts. On the opposite side is Wangfujing Church. Walking into this intersection on the right is dengshikou Street, where my alma mater, Beijing Jingshan School, is located.

1. However, after walking south for less than five minutes, I found the sweet well highlighted-Wangfujing. It's surrounded by a fence, and it's impossible to test whether it's covered with plexiglass or not. But I smelled a sweet smell coming from the wellhead.

11. In fact, each story has its own delicious taste. Then what is hidden behind the sweetness of this well water is the solemn and stirring of Gao Liang driving water; What is hidden behind the delicate fragrance of the late Gao Dynasty is the strength of Wen Tianxiang who died for his country. Just like the sauce smell of fried liver will remind me of the bell-casting goddess my grandmother said; The sour smell of bean juice will remind me of Yuan Chonghuan that my father talked about; The smell of cheese will remind me of my mother's godson Wang's godson in the hutong; And the sweet smell of pea yellow will remind me of grandma's talk about the battle of wits between the monarch and the ministers in the group city.

12. We can see the Beijing spirit of "patriotism, innovation, tolerance and kindness" written on the fence of the construction site not far away. I want to say that the spirit of Beijing is more than that. Every ghost who died in this land has injected their spirit into this land, and at the same time, this land has taught these spirits to a generation of Beijingers who were born and raised in Sri Lanka without reservation.

13. There is a saying in Beijing that "an old cat sleeps in the house and is passed down from generation to generation." In my opinion, it is the rich Beijing spirit left by these heroes. To put it simply, it conveys a unique character, which will make every Beijinger step on the ground under his feet, clap his chest and hit his nose horizontally:

14. This is Beijing!
