What’s fun and delicious in Nanchang?

A place with a historical and cultural background will add a touch of cultural heritage to the local area. Nanchang is such a place. The famous Tengwang Pavilion is here. I think there is no need to go into the allusions of Tengwang Pavilion, but Nanchang is a place with rich history.

A place where stories are told, friends who are interested can come and take a look.

The name Nanchang comes from the meaning of "prosperous southern frontier, prosperous south". Nanchang City was built in 202 BC and is one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities designated by the State Council.

Wang Bo, one of the four outstanding figures of the early Tang Dynasty, called it a place with "extreme treasures of things and treasures and outstanding people" in the "Preface to Prince Teng's Pavilion".

On August 1, 1927, the "Nanchang Uprising" broke out, and Nanchang became "the place where the military flag was raised" and was known as the "City of Heroes".

Tengwang Pavilion 4A Scenic Area, ticket price is 50, open from 7:00 to 18:00 every day, 19:00 to 21:30 for the party and light show.

The first of the three famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River (Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Hubei and Yueyang Tower in Hunan), it is located on the east bank of the Ganjiang River along Yanjiang Road in the northwest of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It was built in the fourth year of Yonghui in the Tang Dynasty. It was named after Li Yuanying, the younger brother of Emperor Taizong Li Shimin.

, is famous for its poem by Wang Bo, a poet of the early Tang Dynasty, "The falling clouds and solitary swans fly together, the autumn water is the same color as the sky".

During the Zhenguan period, Li Yuanying, the son of Emperor Gaozu Li Yuan of the Tang Dynasty and the younger brother of Emperor Taizong Li Shimin, was granted the title of King Teng in Tengzhou, Shandong Province. He also built a pavilion in Tengzhou named "Tengwang Pavilion" (which has been destroyed). Later, King Teng Li Yuanying was transferred to Hongzhou in the south of the Yangtze River.

(now Nanchang, Jiangxi), he built the famous "Tengwang Pavilion" because he missed his hometown, Tengzhou.

The Tengwang Pavilion has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, and the version currently extant is the 29th construction version.

Nanchang Night Market is located on Chuanshan Road in Xihu District; Shengjin Tower Night Market is located in Shengjin Tower in Xihu District; Jewelry Street is located in Jewelry Street in Xihu District.

It is recommended to find an accommodation in Xihu District (we chose the City Comfort Inn Chaozhou Middle Road Branch). It is not far from Tengwang Pavilion and various night markets. A taxi can reach it for about 8 yuan.

Bus: Take Line 228 for 10 minutes to reach Tengwang Pavilion; Metro Line 1 for 24 minutes to reach Chuanshan Road Night Market; walk 650m on the outer line of Fuhe Bridge No. 18 for 6 minutes to reach Shengjin Pagoda Night Market.

For the night market, Chuanshan Road is recommended.

Jiangxi cuisine has a heavier taste, and the use of soy sauce is just right. Some dishes are spicy, but not numb.

Nanchang Food A Clay Pot Simmering Soup: The soup is delicious and cheap. A portion of soup at Chuanshan Road Night Market ranges from 3 to 15 yuan. Anyone who likes soup must try it.

B Steamed Pork: Compared with ordinary steamed pork, it has the unique taste of pickled vegetables, which I like very much.

C. Fish with distiller's grains: Nanchang is close to Poyang Lake. The unique fish products and the cooking method of distiller's grains in eastern my country meet, creating a way to eat fish with distiller's grains. The spicy fish meat with a slight aroma of wine is very good.

D. Boiled: The so-called boiled chicken is similar to Sichuan's Bobo Chicken. Various ingredients are put on skewers in a large brine pot. After the customer orders, they are placed in the center of the brine and boiled, then mixed with seasonings. The taste is just right.

E-cut cake with rice soaked in water: Eaten at Weifuji near Bayi Square, it is similar to rice with soup. It tastes very fresh and can be eaten without eating.

F’s soy sauce bibimbap: I also ate it at Weifuji in Bayi Square. It was steamed in an old lunch box from the 1970s and mixed with lard and soy sauce. It tasted great.

Attached is the Weifuji menu, which shows Nanchang’s specialty snacks and price points at a glance.

The above is a brief impression of Nanchang. Because I didn’t stay in Nanchang for too long, I didn’t go to too many places. I hope the above sharing will be helpful to everyone. Nanchang is quite interesting. You can come and have a look.
