During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was an important town of Yan State. In 221 BC, after Qin Shihuang unified China, the world was divided into 36 counties, and Shenyang was subordinate to Liaodong County.
during the western Han dynasty, Shenyang had the outline of a city, which was called "houcheng".
in the Tang dynasty, it was renamed "shenzhou".
in 921 ad, Liao Taizu immigrated here and built a tucheng, and the production developed accordingly.
during the Jin dynasty, Jin Taizu captured shenzhou and used the name "shenzhou".
In p>1296, Tucheng was rebuilt in Yuan Dynasty, and Shenzhou was changed to "Shenyang Road", which was under the jurisdiction of Liaoyang. Because Shenyang is located in the north of Shenshui (Hunhe River), according to China's traditional orientation theory, that is, "the north of the mountain is cloudy and the north of the water is sunny", it was changed to Shenyang. Since then, the name "Shenyang" has officially appeared in historical materials.
In p>1386, the Ming Dynasty renamed "Shenyang Road" as "Shenyang Zhongwei".
In p>1625, Nuerhachi, Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty, moved the capital from Liaoyang to Shenyang, and started to build a palace (now the Forbidden City in Shenyang) in Shenyang. In 1643, Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty renamed Shenyang "Shengjing".
in p>1644, after the Qing dynasty moved its capital to Beijing, Shenyang became its capital.

In 1911, after the Revolution of 1911, Shenyang became the capital ruled by Fengzhi warlords.
In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1938), Shenyang District was established within the district boundaries on January 1st.
in the thirty-sixth year of the Republic of China (1948), on November 2th, Shenyang District merged with Shenhe District and was named Shenhe District.
in February, 1952, when Shenyang was adjusted, 1 communes (streets) in three districts, namely Nanshi District, Beishi District and Beiguan District, were included in Shenhe District.

On January 17th, 25, Shenyang Municipal People's Government agreed that Shenhe District would change the original 16 sub-district offices into 1 sub-district offices, and adjust the administrative area of sub-district offices. On the same day, Shenhe District held a mobilization meeting for street system reform, and the original 16 street offices were adjusted to 1, namely: Xinbei Station, Zhujian Furnace, Huangcheng, Daxi, Shandong Temple, Fengyutan, Binhe, Wanlian, Danan and Wulihe.
In February, 21, Shenyang implemented a new zoning adjustment, and the original Dongling District, west of the East Third Ring Road, south of Hunhe River and north of Shenji Railway, was transferred to Shenhe District. So far, the area of Shenhe District has increased to 58 square kilometers, with 15 streets and 124 communities under its jurisdiction.
