I'm going to Thailand for a free trip with my friends in early September. Because it is the first time to go abroad, I don't know what to pay attention to, and I also recommend some routes. seven days
First of all, the most important thing is to pay attention to safety. Before traveling with Qingyi donkey friends, I also paid attention to safety issues. I found a route planning guide from Qingyi. I hope you have a nice trip ~

Route:

There are many places to go in Thailand. There are Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Sukhothai and Baixian in northern Thailand, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi and Pippi in southern Thailand, and Bangkok, Dacheng, Hua Hin and Pattaya in central Thailand. Time is limited, only 8 days, we plan to go, and finally decided on the route of Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai-Pak Sin-Bangkok, which is mainly in northern Thailand. The specific arrangements are as follows:

D 1(4.26): Tianjin Binhai Airport-Xiamen Gao Qi Airport-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport -NCA Station (Mochit)- Chiang Mai.

Preparations before departure:

Thailand visa is now a visa on arrival. In order to save trouble and avoid wasting unnecessary time at the airport, we should do it in China first. Every major travel website, a treasure has this business, and the cost is around 260 yuan. It takes about a week to provide your passport and photos, which is very convenient. The visa is valid for 90 days and the stay time is 59 days.

I also have to buy an insurance policy for overseas travel. I bought it online in happy treasure. Allianz Antu Asia Travel Insurance is a short-term plan. The insurance period is 1-7 days, and the cost is 70 yuan.

Thailand uses Thai BTHB, 1 RMB about 5B. I changed 5000B at China Bank in China, and the exchange rate at that time was: 1 yuan = 5.02b I don't know why.

In Thailand, it is suggested that the super-rich who change to green need to show their passports. Tapemen is available in subway stations in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. I changed my children's shoes in Guangzhou at Nana subway station in Bangkok, and the exchange rate is much better than that in Tianjin. Her place is 1 yuan =5.2B, which is really much worse. The exchange rate is 1 yuan = 5. 13b. You can also withdraw money from the local ATM. It is said that the exchange rate of purple is high, but no matter what bank card, the handling fee is 50B. I took 2000B from an ATM in Baixian, and the exchange rate at that time was: 1 yuan = 5.28b

It should also be noted that Thailand requires everyone to carry 2W baht in cash or equivalent foreign currency. Entry-exit officials will conduct spot checks, but there are few spot checks, so I am not checked. Due to various worries except the repatriation of a large number of tourists years ago, I finally brought enough cash, only spent a small part, and most of it was brought back to China.

I want to go to Thailand alone. What friends are most worried about is the language problem. "You can't speak Thai, and your English is poor. How do you communicate there? " My answer is to laugh it off. Thailand's tourism has developed rapidly in recent years. In tourist cities such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Baixian, vendors can speak some basic English, but unlike European and American countries, everyone can speak fluent English. So I won't worry when I get to Thailand. My English is not good, and neither are they. Just pop up a few keywords. Skilled in using body language, always smiling on your face, and installing translation software on your mobile phone will make you fearless. Translation software: there is a translator (taking photos) and fast translation (Thai).

Shopping in Thailand is low, and some cosmeceuticals and snacks are also necessary. Make a list in advance.

voltage

The rated voltage in Thailand is 220V, and most hotels and homestays have two-pin flat plugs without converters. If your place is really bad, you can call 7 1 1.

Partner: Sixteen fans/airport pick-up/Sina Weibo I found a girl living together in Sixteen fans, and they went back to Bangkok together after playing in Chiang Mai for a day.

Guide: Beehive/Sixteen Fans/Chiang Mai has always been accustomed to using beehive as a pre-departure guide, which is very comprehensive and practical; This time, I found that Sixteen Times did a very good job in some details, such as the traffic guide from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

Map: Google Map/Chiang Mai Chinese Map/Public Comment, Google Map is very practical and can be located in many places, but it can't be used in China, so it can only be used abroad and downloaded in advance; The map of China in Chiang Mai is great, including scenic spots, hotels, restaurants and other popular places. You can locate it in real time without worrying about getting lost. Public comments can be used to search for food, and eating food is a must.

connect

I bought a local happy calling card and spent 38.5 yuan on the Internet for 7 days. I can make 70 minutes of Thailand calls and 90 minutes of domestic long distance calls. Please note that the Happy Card is suitable for this model. The network frequency of Happy Card is WCDMA850, which supports GSM850/ 1800/2 100 frequency band. Can't use telecom and mobile custom machine/contract phone. As long as the parameters indicate that WCDMA 850 is supported, other versions of smart phones are basically applicable. If the parameter does not show that WCDMA 850 is supported, but GSM 850/ 1800/2 100 is listed, you can also use it, but you can only enjoy the speed of GPRS/EDGE when surfing the Internet. If you are like me, it is a big problem to look at these parameters. You can communicate directly with customer service to determine whether your mobile phone can be used. The mobile phone I used at that time was the mobile version of Redmi, so it didn't work. Finally, I changed my mobile phone with my friend.

other

Electronic digital, certificates, daily necessities, clothing, according to personal needs to carry. If you are afraid of forgetting to bring the necessary things, you'd better make a list and count them one by one before you leave.

Transportation:

air ticket

When doing the raiders, I saw many netizens recommend AirAsia, but from the websites such as Qunar and Ctrip, the air tickets from Tianjin to Bangkok are really not cheap, and the southern cities, Shanghai and Guangzhou are too cheap. Can only look at other airlines in the north. Direct flights to China Airlines are more expensive; It is cheaper to transfer from Xiamen to Hong Kong and Macao. Considering time and money, I finally booked a connecting flight from Tianjin to Bangkok and Xiamen on Ctrip. The cost is 2384 yuan.

4.26 Tianjin-Bangkok, 8:20 Tianjin Binhai Airport-10: 40 Xiamen Gao Qi Airport, 15:00 Xiamen Gao Qi Airport-17: 25 Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.

5.3 ? Bangkok-Xiamen, 18:35 Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport -22: 30 Xiamen Gao Qi Airport

5.4 ? Xiamen-Tianjin, 8:50 Xiamen Gao Qi Airport-12: 50 Tianjin Binhai Airport.

Domestic traffic

1, NCA Automobile (Chiang Mai, Bangkok)

On land flights in Thailand, the seats can be laid flat and very comfortable. VIP seats also have massage service. Drinks and snacks will be distributed after getting on the bus and the next morning, so you can sleep comfortably until the end. Taking a bus at night saves accommodation and time, which can be said to be the best choice for Bangkok to go to Chiang Mai. The NCA station is near the Mohji station of BTS. From the airport, you can take a taxi, bus or fast track. My plan is: take the airport express to PHAYATHAI station, then transfer to BTS to Mochit, the last stop, and then take a taxi to NCA station.

NCA bus class and fare:

NCA first class: VIP, 2 1 seat for the whole car. The fare from Chiang Mai to Bangkok is 837 baht.

NCA Gold Class: First class, with more than 32 seats. The ticket price from Chiang Mai to Bangkok is 628 baht.

NCA silver class: second class, 40 seats in the whole car.

NCA Economy Class: The whole car has 47 seats.

I made a reservation online in advance, and the reservation website can choose its own seats. After payment, print out the list and get on the bus directly at the station with the list. All the tickets I booked leave in the evening and arrive in the morning.

① Bangkok to Chiang Mai, golden class, first class, time 2 1:00-6:20, about 9 hours, cost 628B, equivalent to RMB 126 yuan.

② The time from Chiang Mai to Bangkok is 22:30-7:35, which is also a 9-hour drive, and the cost is 837B, equivalent to RMB 167.

2. Minibus (Pak County, Chiang Mai)

The most convenient way to and from Bai County in Chiang Mai is by minibus. From Chiang Mai to Baixian, you can go to the ticket window of Chiang Mai coach station. There are many buses going to Pai every day, so you can leave immediately, which is faster. Air ticket 150B, equivalent to RMB about 30 yuan. It is more convenient to book in your own place, and the price will not be much more expensive. 180B. Choose a good time and wait for the bus to pick it up. The car will go to Aya Station in Baixian County, which is located in the central city and is the largest motorcycle rental point. You can rent a motorcycle to ride to the hotel directly, which is what I did; Returning to Chiang Mai from Baixian is also the only bus stop leading to Aya Station in Baixian. The fare is 150B. It is recommended that you buy a return ticket on the day you arrive in Baixian. Estimate the time and don't be late. The bus I took, the driver was super good, and it was delivered to us near the tape door, so we can go back to the hotel.

3. Traffic in Chiang Mai City

There are many modes of transportation in Chiang Mai, such as taxi, Tutu, two-car rental, motorcycle rental and bicycle rental. Two-car rental is the most common and the price is relatively cheap. Just stop at wave and get on the bus at a favorable price.

Taxis are not common in Chiang Mai, and you can hardly see taxis after three days of sightseeing here. There should be both airports and hotels, and the price should be the most expensive. It is not recommended.

(2) Tu Tu is a motorcycle tricycle, I can drive. It is an ordinary taxi in the local area. It is still very common in the ancient city, and the price is more expensive than two cars.

(3) A two-seater bus should be regarded as a local bus. This kind of bus has two rows of seats facing each other, and the most common one is a red two-seater bus. Wave to stop, first communicate with the driver where you want to go, negotiate the price, get on the bus, calculate the money according to the head, and pay when you get off. If you want to get off for a while, you can ring the bell. From NCA Station to Gucheng Hotel 150B, Tamen to Ningman Road/Chiang Mai University 30B, Chiang Mai University to Sutieshan 50B (about 40 minutes), Sutieshan to Gucheng 70B (Note: you can't rent Tu Tu to Shuanglong Temple, you can only rent two cars).

(4) Rent a motorcycle: you need a motorcycle driver's license. If it is not found, it will be fined, depending on the model 100-250 Thai b per day. There are many cars in the ancient city and the road conditions are complicated and unfamiliar. It is not recommended to rent a motorcycle unless you are familiar with it.

Bicycle rental: There are many shops in the ancient city that can rent bicycles. It costs 50 baht per day (based on 24 hours). Where I rent a car, I have to pay my passport without paying a deposit. Ningman Road is not very far. You can ride a bike there. Riding a bike, visiting the ancient city and visiting Ningman Road are still very pleasant, cheap and convenient, which is highly recommended.

4. Traffic in Baixian County

The scenic spots in Baixian County are scattered, and more than 90% people will choose to rent motorcycles. The biggest car rental point is AYA. As mentioned above, the daily fee is 140B, with 40B insurance and 50B gasoline, which is enough for one day.

5. Traffic in Bangkok

There are four most commonly used means of transportation in Bangkok: light rail BTS, subway MRT, Chao Phraya River cruise ship and taxi.

(1) BTS (Bangkok public transport system air train)? The sign is very clear. As long as you have taken the light rail or subway in China, you can get it easily. Don't worry. There are two lines in BTS, Silom line and Sukhumvit line, which can be transferred in the station. Pass through the main shopping spots and connect with the airport express line, which is very suitable for one-day shopping. The shopping center gets off at Siam; Get off at Mo Chit on weekends (take 1 exit and walk 100 meters); Change the airport express line from the airport to Phaya Thai, take the Silom line at the Grand Palace, get off at Exit 2 of Saphan Taksin Station, and then get off at Ta Chang Pier (No.9) by the Chao Phraya River clipper. To Chinatown (China City), take the Xilong Line, get off at exit 2 of Saphan Taksin Station, and then get off at 5 Tha Ratchawongse on the Chao phraya River Express.

BTS doesn't sell tickets manually, but it has a window to exchange money. The fare is 15-40B. The self-service ticket vending machine is also easy to operate. There is a fare map next to it, indicating the price from the current station to the destination station. Put coins at the corresponding price and the tickets will be spit out. The ticket is used in the same way as the domestic subway. If you haven't been on the subway, just stand by and see how others take the subway. You can also buy a one-day pass, 120B, with unlimited rides on the same day.

② Metro Rapid Transit Authority, with fewer scenic spots/shopping malls, is not as convenient as BTS, and the fares range from 15 to 40B. Buy from the ticket vending machine (accept coins of 1, 5, 10b and notes of 20, 50, 100). BTS and MRT are two independent systems. You have to get out of the subway at the transfer station and re-purchase tickets to enter BTS.

③ Chao phraya river clipper? Since there is no rail transit next to the Grand Palace, the reclining Buddha Temple and Chinatown, taking a boat has become the best mode of transportation. At present, there are five routes running on the Chao Phraya River, which can be simply divided into five types of vessels, namely, local line (local people sit at every station), orange flag vessel (orange flag on the bow), green flag vessel (green flag on the bow), yellow flag vessel (yellow flag on the bow) and Chao Phraya River tourist vessel (blue flag). The difference is that the stops are different and the operation time is different (note that it is basically in the.

Taxis can go to almost all the places you want to go, and you are afraid that the driver will be unkind, detour you, delay your time and charge more. In addition, Bangkok is famous for blocking the city, especially in the morning and evening rush hours. Be careful with children's shoes when taking a taxi. However, I did meet a good taxi driver. He drove very fast and never detoured, which enabled me to catch the flight from NCA to Chiang Mai in time.
