shen
Prosperous appearance. (From "Xinhua Dictionary" Commercial Press
2001 revised edition)
"燊" is a very ancient Chinese character. Xu Shen's "Shuowen Jiezi" of the Eastern Han Dynasty has this character in the "Yan" part. "SHEN, SHEN, the grand appearance comes from Yan on the wood. It reads like "Poetry": Xin Xin conquers her husband, and every pregnancy reaches her." "Yan, YAN, Huo Hua. From the three fires." Also note the word "jing". Said: "Every word about the prosperity of things is based on three words." That is to say, three single characters combined into one character often mean "the prosperity of things". For example, "Lei" comes from San Shi, which means "stones"; "From three mouths, they are trained as "all common people"; in addition, there are also our common "Sen, Miao, Ben" and so on. "Reading" in "Shuowen" often means "shen" and "xin" are connected with each other. "Xinxin" in "The Book of Songs" is "燊犊", which means "numerous". "Xinxin Zhengfu" is "Shenshen Zhengfu"; the "Xinxinxuezi" we often call is "Shenshenxuezi". Because "犊" is a pseudonym for "Xin" and is not commonly used, some dictionaries do not accept it.
But just look it up in "Ancient Chinese Dictionary" or "Shuowen"
