.administrative.
Pingdingshan is an ordinary prefecture-level city in Henan and one of the core cities in the Central Plains urban agglomeration. It has a population of five million and an urban population of about one million. It should be considered a relatively large prefecture-level city in China.
Once a special economic zone in Henan, the license plate number of Yu D reflects the past glory of this fourth prefecture-level city since the founding of Henan Province. However, with the decline of coal, Pingdingshan does not have a high status in the province and is not taken seriously.
It's obviously not the same as in the past.
Especially in recent years, there have been some strange changes in the city's leadership team.
The city is positioned as an important energy and heavy industry base in the Central Plains Economic Zone.
Generally speaking, it is a relatively typical fourth-tier city.
2. Economic.
It only took ten years for Pingdingshan's GDP to rank fourth or fifth in Henan Province to now rank twelfth. Pingdingshan has missed so many opportunities that its economic level is now in a particularly urgent period of transformation. At the same time, it is facing
Very severe labor pains.
As a typical resource-based city supported by resource-based state-owned enterprises, it prospered because of coal and will inevitably decline because of coal. In my opinion, Pingdingshan has many similarities with the current problems in Northeast China. The decline of long-term extensive resource-based industries is almost inevitable.
Things to avoid.
The future direction of economic development is very vague. I have tried to engage in tourism like the Great Leap Forward. However, in my opinion, the development ideas of tourism are at least ten years behind those in the east. The privatization of scenic spots has not really attracted external investment.
It has been reduced to a broken and fragmented low-end product. The farmhouse-style tourism planning has not really achieved poverty alleviation but has caused a lot of chaos. In particular, the hot spring resources have not been well utilized and have almost been reduced to bathhouses and a large number of vacant small-property villas.
The products are always proof of the poor development of the tourism industry.
At present, the city still has some industrial foundation, and other pillar industries such as Yao, Meng, Shenma, etc. can still maintain the normal operation of an industrial city, but they are becoming increasingly unable to do so.
The poor business environment has caused Pingdingshan to be regarded as a special area with independent existence in Henan Province. This problem has become an important bottleneck for Pingdingshan's economic development. The lack of commercial contract spirit will inevitably fail to create a future where the private and foreign-owned economy will flourish.
At this point, Xuchang, Shangqiu, Luoyang, Luohe and others are obviously far ahead of Pingdingshan. To put it more intuitively, there are international hotel chains like Sheraton in Luohe, but you can hardly find any large foreign brands in Pingdingshan.
In Jiaozuo there is Haidilao, which is also a nationally famous restaurant, but in Pingdingshan there are few nationally renowned brand merchants. However, I believe that with the deepening of opening up, Pingdingshan will inevitably accelerate its integration and transformation.
On the other hand, the living standards of the citizens in Pingdingshan are relatively good in Henan. The brutal development of coal resources in the early days also left the city with a lot of "old capital" that other cities can't match. In particular, the number of private cars in Pingdingshan is quite astonishing.
However, Pingdingshan's consumption power has shown signs of explosive weakening in the past two years, and high-end consumption has almost collapsed. The false prosperity that was once there is destined to go further and further.
Wanda's belated arrival has obviously missed the best opportunity. Intuitively, many stores have changed owners less than a year after opening, not to mention the bleak situation of 7**** and Pai*** Plaza.
It is a lamentable commercial project. The third floor and above are almost desolate and cold in winter.
The situation in rural areas is even worse. Judging from the current planning, I personally believe that there will be no change in the reality of the weak county economy in the next five years.
Wugang is able to stand out among them because of industrial support. Ye County is currently making progress in undertaking industrial transfers, but its original foundation is too poor. Jiaxian Baofeng is planned to be a high-speed rail station but the industrial planning is vague. Lushan is a typical example.
Good cards are like playing tricks to make poor counties not want to make progress. It is almost impossible for the tourism industry to explode. Ruzhou has always wanted to go solo, but related work has stagnated in recent years. It is obvious that a per capita GDP is in
Counties and districts in Henan have to be ranked beyond 60. If you want to support it alone, you still lack the physical support.
3. Urban planning.
Very bad!
When it comes to this point, I am really angry.
It’s not even that good in Henan Province, let alone compared with southern cities.
The urban planning is extremely unreasonable. Since it was originally a coal mining special zone and was not strictly planned, the city center not only has shopping malls, but also a large residential area and even two primary schools, which is really unbelievable.
Moreover, the current demolition of the city center is simply difficult. Instead, the relocation of the original factory area has brought a large amount of high-quality land resources. Wanda’s settlement in Weidong should bring vitality to Weidong, which was previously dominated by industry.
In addition, roads are generally not wide, and there are few roads with green belts. Traffic jams in urban areas are serious, and the construction roads connecting new urban areas are in an appalling state.
Because it is a mining area, the high-rise buildings are generally more than 20 stories high, and they are very scattered and do not have the feeling of majestic urban construction.
At this point, Pingdingshan really lags behind other cities in the province in terms of urban planning.
It is important to mention that urban expansion is very disorderly. The construction ideas of Zhannan New District and New City are basically to provide various gimmicks for real estate development, resulting in the Pingdingshan built-up area being very scattered. The role of the new district in relieving the old district is also due to fragile traffic.
It seems meaningless and even causes a lot of waste of costs (for example, when you need to do errands). A trip to Xincheng is almost the same as a trip to Ye County.
Except for Chenggong New District in Kunming, there is really no one in the country that can build a new city that has invested a lot of manpower and material resources more than ten kilometers away from the old city.
4. Transportation.
