The Naxi people in Lijiang are used to having three meals a day and drinking tea in the morning. The staple food is mainly wheat, corn and rice, and it is made into steamed bread, Baba and rice. The mountainous area is supplemented by buckwheat and oats, likes to drink butter tea and often eats large pieces of meat with miscellaneous vegetables. The traditional famous food "Lijiang Baba" is famous in northwest Yunnan. Naxi people like to eat Ciba noodles. Every time a distinguished guest comes, they must hold Ciba noodles first. Usually like to eat hot and sour, especially like to make hot pot dishes made of chop suey, taro, tofu, vermicelli, leek roots and vegetables. On holidays or when guests visit, treat them warmly with wine, chicken, duck, fish, meat, ham, salted eggs and other foods. Naxi people are good at raising cattle and sheep, and dairy products are famous for their "milk cakes". I like drinking tea and smoking. Tobacco, tea and wine are all standing items for entertaining guests and friends.
The Naxi people who have settled in the territory are mainly engaged in agricultural production, and their diet is no different from that of the local Bai and Han nationalities, but every household has Ciba noodles (that is, fried oats are ground into noodles) to entertain guests.
