Famous scenic spots around Suzhou Gardens include the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, Master of the Nets Garden, The Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Canglang Pavilion.

To the west of the Humble Administrator's Garden, past the museum, there is a large store in the northwest of the traffic light on Linton Road called "Zhu Hongxing", which is the most authentic noodle shop in Suzhou.

To the southwest of the Lion Grove, there is a "Luyang Wonton" on Linton Road, which is the most authentic wonton in Suzhou; in addition, to the north of the Lion Grove, there is the most authentic sugar porridge in Suzhou.

Just outside the back door of Master of the Nets Garden is Shiquan Street. There are many snack bars, ranging from domestic to foreign, and the prices are moderate. Shiquan Street is also a place where bars gather, and it presents a different flavor at night.

The Shilu Pedestrian Street and Shantang Street near the Liuyuan Garden are typical Jiangnan water towns (personally, no tickets are required). There are many good snacks there. There is a restaurant specializing in gourmet food, both Western and Chinese food. It is very convenient and the price is not very high.

In addition, to the west of the Liuyuan Garden is the West Garden, where the "Gongde Forest" vegetarian food is very good. There are no very distinctive snacks near Huqiu and Canglang Pavilion.
