How long does it take for the food you eat to reach your stomach?
The gastrointestinal tract is the place where food is digested and absorbed. After eating food, it will directly enter the stomach, and nearsighted food will soon flow into the stomach. However, food usually stays in the stomach for about four hours. After four hours of stomach peristalsis and digestion, it enters the small intestine. After the small intestine absorbs nutrients, it enters the large intestine for excretion.
