Wanan Qianhu Town is a cultural relic protection unit in Luoyuan County.

The city wall of Qianhusuo in Wan 'an is made of granite stones, with a circumference of 1,773 meters and a height of 5.31 meters. There are 827 female walls, 13 police shops, 18 enemy towers, three gates in the east, west and south, and towers are built on it. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, the city is small and dangerous, and ships can be parked at the port under the West Gate. There are only three sections of residual wall, a gate seat and a battery.

the stone street paved by the mountain in the city meanders from north to south. Because its terrain is narrow in the southwest and wide in the northeast, it is shaped like a gourd, so it was called "Hulu City". According to records, the houses on both sides of the stone street were like a swarm of trees, with a prosperous population and more than a thousand households. There are Zhusheng Temple, Guansheng Temple, Tianhou Temple, Wenchang Temple, Guanyin Pavilion, Haichao Temple and other temples in the city. Most of the temples have disappeared, and only Zhusheng Pagoda has survived military disasters and wind and rain erosion.

The beacon tower is a bucket-shaped structure, which is built with stone blocks, and the top is rectangular. The height of the smoke pier of the beacon tower is 5.1 meters, the sides of the base are about 12 meters, and the sides of the top opening are about 8 meters. The top pit for ignition is 2.31m long, 1.65m wide and 1.51m deep. Only a small part of the stone blocks on the east and west sides of the beacon tower collapsed, and other main bodies, including the kitchen pits next to them, were well preserved. Even some walls were left in the barracks and forage houses attached to the beacon tower.

According to the Records of Eight Min Tongzhi and Fuqing County Records of Qingganlong, in the 21th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1387 AD), the ancient city of Wan 'an was assembled by Zhou Dexing, Xiahou Jiang, and it took 11 years to build it. Ye Xianggao once said, "The town east is firm and solid, while Wan 'an is small and dangerous, so it is difficult to break.".

In the Hometown Scenery, Qing Tu Zhiyao said: "Wan 'an City takes the sea as its land and the mountains as its kingdom, so when Xiang Liu and Zheng Zhilong were in their heyday, they repeatedly attacked Wan 'an with tens of thousands of troops, and the soldiers lost their days."

In September of the eighteenth year of Qing Shunzhi (AD 1661), the Qing court "moved to the sea" and the city.

in Qing dynasty, due to the important coastal defense position, Wan 'an ancient city set up more than a thousand flag troops.

On February 25th, 1981, the remnant wall of Wan 'an Ancient City was listed as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Fuqing County.
