What is the Bagua City here? Refers to Tekes County under the jurisdiction of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is 6 kilometers away from Yining City1/kloc-0, and 8 kilometers away from Urumqi City15. It is the only well-built and regular Bagua City in China, and it is also the largest and most well-preserved Bagua City in the world. In 2008, it was approved by the State Council as the fourth batch of famous historical and cultural cities.
I heard about Tex a long time ago, and two things left a deep impression on me? First of all, the urban layout of Tex relies on the shape of the Eight Diagrams, extending eight main streets, which correspond to the "Gan, Kun, Xun, Earthquake, Kan, Li, Gen and Hui" in the Eight Diagrams respectively, and the overall shape is in a four-ring radiation state. The first ring has 8 streets, the second ring has 16 streets, and so on, corresponding to 64 hexagrams in the Book of Changes.
Secondly, Turks is the only city in China without traffic lights, and there is never traffic jam. It is said that experts and scholars suggest that because the roads in Tex are connected with each other, there will be no traffic jam in a county, and vehicles and pedestrians can reach their destinations no matter which direction they take. So at 1996, the relevant departments canceled the traffic lights on the road.
Bagua Cultural Square is the center of the whole city of Tex, and it is also the publishing center of Bagua modeling. In the center of the square, there is a 50-meter-high gossip sightseeing tower. After we bought tickets, we took the elevator to the open-air sightseeing platform on the second floor. Looking down along the platform, I saw the blue-gray streets criss-crossing below, shaped like a gossip basin. There are no traffic lights at all the intersections you can see, and the passing vehicles are orderly and there is no traffic jam at all.
At sunset, the whole city of Turks is bathed in sunshine, and the snow-capped mountains are faintly visible in the distance, which makes many tourists reluctant to leave. Unfortunately, standing on the sightseeing tower can only see the scenery within the Second Ring Road. It would be better if the sightseeing tower is higher or there is a sightseeing plane, so that you can see the whole picture of Bagua City in the air.
