In 1991, it was named "China Cultural Town" by the State Council. There are small bridges and flowing water in the town, which are full of ancient meaning. The Fangsheng Bridge, built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, is the largest five-hole multi-arch stone bridge in Shanghai. With a total length of 71.8 meters and a width of 5.8 meters, it is exquisite in structure and beautiful in shape, making it the first of ten scenic spots in Zhuli (Zhujiajiao). There is a poem saying: "Long bridge rainbow, exchanges are convenient, Japanese-Chinese transactions are also returned, and the setting sun is chaotic." As the name suggests, the liberation bridge is "releasing virtue and doing good".
