Basic information of Rizhao:

Rizhao is a prefecture-level city in the southeast of Shandong Province. Rizhao, Zhou is Judi, Qin belongs to Langya County, Haiqu County in the Western Han Dynasty, Chengyang County in the Three Kingdoms Wei Dynasty and in Ju, and Liangxiang County in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Sui Dynasty returned to Juxian County, which belonged to Langya County, and Tang and Song Dynasties belonged to Mizhou. In 187 (the second year of Song Yuanyou), Rizhao Town was established, which belongs to Juxian County, and the name of Rizhao began here.

Rizhao county was established in p>1184 (twenty-four years of Jin Dading), belonging to Juzhou, Yidu prefecture. Yuan and Ming dynasties followed. Qing belongs to Yizhou government. In June 1989, Rizhao was upgraded to a prefecture-level city. It borders the Yellow Sea in the east, Linyi City in the west, Lianyungang City in Jiangsu Province in the south and Qingdao and Weifang City in the north. It is about 82 kilometers long from north to south and 9 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 5358.57 square kilometers.

Rizhao is located in the eastern Shandong hills, with the general terrain facing the sea and the back of the mountain. The middle part is high and the surrounding areas are low, slightly inclined to the southeast, and the mountains, hills and plains are distributed alternately. Rizhao City spans three structural units of Grade III, namely Jiaonan Uplift, Jiaolai Depression and Yishu Fault Zone. The exposed strata are complete, the structure is complex, and the magmatic activity is strong, forming relatively rich mineral resources such as nonmetal, groundwater and mineral water.
