Yulin City belongs to Shaanxi Province.

Yulin City in Shaanxi Province covers an area of ??43,000 square kilometers and has a permanent population of about 3.4 million. On the map of China, Yulin City is also a very prominent place, close to three surrounding provinces.

The characteristic forest of Yulin City has a long history. It was the Jin Dynasty in the Spring and Autumn Period, the Wei Dynasty in the Warring States Period, and the Shangjun District after the Qin Dynasty unified the six kingdoms.

During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Huns Helianbobo established his capital in Tongwan City and called it Daxia Kingdom.

During the Tang and Five Dynasties, Xiazhou, Yinzhou, Linzhou, Fuzhou and Suizhou were established, all under the jurisdiction of Guannai Road.

In the Qing Dynasty, Yulin Prefecture was established, and in the Republic of China, Yulin Road was established.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Yulin was organized as a district, with the Commissioner's Office and the Administrative Office successively established. In July 2000, it was changed to a prefecture-level city.

Yulin is rich in mineral resources. Currently, 48 kinds of minerals in 8 categories have been discovered, among which coal, gas, oil and salt are the most abundant. It is a national energy and chemical base under construction.

The reserves are 100 million tons; the predicted rock salt resources are 6 trillion tons, the proven reserves are 885.7 billion tons, accounting for about 26% of the country's total rock salt, and the proven reserves of lake salt are 17.94 million tons.
