National AOI data (residential areas, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, parks, scenic spots, railway stations, etc.)

AOI data description

In the current mainstream Internet electronic maps, POI(Point of Interest) refers to points of interest, and each POI contains at least four basic information: name, address, category, latitude and longitude coordinates, which can be a house, a shop, a community entrance or a bus stop.

AOI(Area of Interest), as its name implies, refers to the area of interest in the electronic map of the Internet, and also contains four basic information, which is mainly used to express regional geographical entities in the map, such as a residential area, a university, an office building, an industrial park, a comprehensive shopping mall, a hospital, a scenic spot or a gymnasium, etc.

compared with POI, AOI has better expressive power, better computational power and better stability (POI changes rapidly, while the frequency of geographical entities expressed by AOI is much lower); On the contrary, POI has a higher level of abstraction than AOI, and everything is abstracted as a point, which reduces the dimension and returns to the origin.

with the development of cloud computing, IoT, 5G and other information technologies, human beings are rapidly promoting the mapping and correlation between geographic space and information space (based on ICT technology), such as online to offline at present. The geographical entity expressed by AOI is the geographical carrier of all social and economic activities. Therefore, taking AOI data as the carrier to organize all the production factors of the organization, such as business data, production materials, production tools, operation strategies and people, can effectively complete online and offline integration and promote the evolution of the organization to the information space.

I think AOI data can be divided into two categories: raster AOI data and vector AOI data.

raster AOI data refers to all kinds of raster data. The geographical spatial range (resolution) expressed by each pixel is the boundary of raster AOI data, and all kinds of numerical values (multi-bands) stored in each pixel are the attribute values of raster AOI. At present, there are more and more ways to obtain raster AOI data, the acquisition cost is getting lower and lower, the resolution is getting higher and higher, the bands are getting richer, the processing algorithms and tools are becoming more and more mature, and of course, the application fields are getting wider and wider. ASTER GDEM V2 data as shown below, each pixel is 3m*3m, and the pixel value is geodetic elevation value.

vector AOI data is simply all kinds of area data in vector map data, such as the most basic administrative area data, which is also the most used AOI data in various GIS application systems. We relate all kinds of attributes to administrative areas in different industry application systems for statistics, analysis and visualization, and introduce GIS statistical analysis algorithms, models and thinking into all walks of life to meet business needs and reflect the value of GIS.

with the continuous development of ICT technology, the data processing ability is rapidly improved, and the online application scenarios are more and more refined, emphasizing differentiation, and more and more decisions need more detailed data support (at present, it is a challenge for many large companies to make business decisions by districts and counties), so the requirements for AOI data are getting higher and higher, which is more and more realistic in essence, that is, the mapping from the real world to the information world mentioned by Academician Guo.

At present, the three Internet giants have invested heavily in Internet map portals, accumulated a large number of high-quality AOI data, and updated frequently, so they are ideal AOI data sources. Using Python to develop crawler tools, we can obtain POI and AOI data of Internet maps. Based on the location-related data of mainstream real estate, tourism, transportation, food and life service websites, we can establish AOI vector data with comprehensive coverage, relatively accurate coordinates, good timeliness and rich attribute content, which is an important basic data for building GIS application scenarios in various industries.

the AOI vector data obtained so far covers 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong and Macao, and can provide data in GCJ-2 coordinate system, BD9 coordinate system and WGS84 coordinate system;

the data format is also comprehensive. by default, files in SHP format are provided, and Mapinfo MIF/TAB format, Google KML format, WKT format, WKB format and ArcGIS FileGeodatabase format can be provided as required.

data update can be done as quickly as weekly as required, and quarterly update is provided by default.

At present, more than 1.5 million AOI vector data have been obtained nationwide, covering all economic activity areas such as clothing, food, housing, transportation, education, medical care, tourism, government agencies, economy, sports and leisure.
