I am not bragging because I like to eat noodles. I am greedy for hometown noodles when I am away from home for a long time. I can’t wait to eat two or three bowls of them to feel satisfied!
Although the living conditions are good in other places, I always feel uncomfortable when it comes to eating (when I go to other places to eat as the locals do, I mainly eat rice), and my mouth is tasteless and uncomfortable (lack of appetite). As soon as I mentioned and thought of the dough from my hometown, I immediately swallowed it with a mouthful of saliva (slobber). The sight of the yellow, oily and spicy dishes in my mouth kept appearing in front of my eyes.
I especially like to eat steamed dough. In the past, the dough was very thin, smooth, transparent, and very elastic. Add seasonings, especially spicy oil, and it tasted chewy, sour and fragrant. Spicy, refreshing and delicious, with some guagua and shangshang (gluten) in it, it’s Liao Zelie in Shaanxi dialect! This is not over yet. Then put cooked gray cauliflower, cauliflower and other seasonings in the dough. The dough is transparent, add oil and spicy seeds to make it golden, and the wild vegetables are green. This is really a blessing for the eyes. The taste is in your mouth, and the beauty is in your heart.
The first thing I did when I came out of Baoji Railway Station this time was to eat noodles. I found a snack bar and ordered it twice in succession. It tasted good and authentic! I finished two sets. If you don’t have any acquaintances, you won’t care about how you eat. It can be described as wolfing down everything. After eating, my mouth is still full of biabia and I have endless aftertaste. I stretch my body again, it is super comfortable! So cool!
But these two plates seemed to have dampened my enthusiasm for noodles. Within a month after I came back, noodles were everywhere, but I didn’t really like eating them. I even felt a little repulsive!
Did these two plates of dough hurt me? Absolutely not! Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and my body’s organ functions are declining, so I can’t eat as much as I used to, and I can’t digest hard, cold, and spicy food. Maybe it’s because I’ve been away from home for many years, and my eating habits are quietly changing, and I’m stuck in the past when it comes to eating dough. Memory; maybe the dough now is no longer the dough of the past. Various chemical fertilizers have been used since wheat took root. Nowadays, various leavening agents, whitening agents, ramen noodles and other physical and chemical additives are no longer available to make dough. The taste is different, the dough is just similar in appearance but not in spirit; maybe it was because in the past, I was hungry when I didn’t have enough to eat, and there were only a few types of food, so dough was the most tempting snack. Nowadays, I often eat all kinds of delicacies, and I’m tired of all kinds of food. It tastes delicious, but I can only taste it briefly.
Time can change everything, but it can never change the taste of hometown. Dough is just one of my favorite hometown noodles. Hometown noodles are as delicious as growing on my bones and flesh, and they stay with me. I have traveled all over the country, (now if I want to eat dough, I can send it quickly, but the dough is all vacuum-rolled, and the texture and texture are a little different, but it is better than nothing! Every time it comes, I will share it with my neighbors, colleagues, and friends) , everyone was full of praise, not to mention how happy and proud I was at that time! Many local friends didn’t know anything about Shaanxi noodles...) The authentic hometown characteristics with its own aura will definitely shine and be famous all over the world.
