Niangniang Temple

The Niangniang Temple is located on the hillside southwest of Jianchang Village. Because it is dedicated to the Niangniang Niangniang, it is also called the Niangniang Temple. According to legend, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, two couples, Zhang and Wang, lived next to each other at the foot of the mountain southwest of Jianchang Village. The two endured wind, rain, and muddy mountain roads, and walked hard while searching. The rain subsided, and the husbands were finally found under a landslide. They were covered in injuries and had fallen into a coma from the cold. The women ran forward and hugged their husbands tightly, calling them loudly, warming their bodies, and rubbing their hands and feet until the husbands woke up. The rain stopped and they helped each other go home. At night, both women had a dream, and a fairy said to them: "Your true feelings moved heaven and earth, and God will give you descendants for generations to come!" Soon, the two really had a child, and the child was successfully delivered. In the past few years, the two families had several more children. In order to thank the fairy, the two families built the Empress Temple on the hillside in front of their door to worship the Empress.

The origin of Shenchi Water

There are two natural hot spring pools in the north of Jianchang Village, also called Shenchi Water, covering an area of ??more than 80 square meters. The water temperature is maintained at around 20°C all year round. Why is the hot spring called Shenchishui? There is a little story here!

As they dug, they heard two "bang, bang" sounds. Two streams of water jumped up to a height of one meter. They were so frightened that they ran back home. When they looked again the next day, they found that the fertile field had turned into two pools. The water from the spring in the center of the pool was still flowing out. When they touched it with their hands, they found that the water was still warm. The two of them immediately regretted it.

Later, the women in the village came here to wash their clothes. The water in the pool was warm regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the washed clothes were very comfortable to wear, so everyone called these two places. The water in the pool is the water of the divine pool.
