When I went, Erhai Lake was being rebuilt, and the homestays on the side were closed. Roads are being built everywhere. It doesn't look good at all. Be sure to check the raiders before you go. Dali ancient city is also quite boring, and it may be such a commercialized ancient town. I have been to more ancient cities, so I feel bored.
I didn't climb Cangshan Mountain in Dali. On the one hand, I don't have time; on the other hand, I'm not interested.
You'd better learn to ride an electric car before you go. I originally wanted to rent an electric car to ride to Xizhou, but my uncle who rented the car saw through that I couldn't ride, and insisted on renting only my bike for 40 kilometers until I doubted my life.
There are other scenic spots around the ancient city, such as the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, which can be reached on foot.
2. Lijiang
Old Town of Lijiang gets up early every morning to take pictures, which is beautiful. Be sure to get up early.
By the way, it's best not to be too close to the center of the ancient city in Lijiang. It is really noisy at night.
3. Shangri-La
Shangri-la can sign up for a two-day tour in the local area, just ask the hotel owner, but be sure to compare the prices. When I went, it was more than 500 yuan, with no extra expenses and no store entry.
The first day's trip was from Lijiang to Shangri-La, stopping at Tiger Leaping Gorge and Dukezong Ancient City. Go to Pudacuo National Park the next day and return to Lijiang in the afternoon.
The accommodation is very good, and the group meal is not so bad. Of course, when I went, Yunnan was renovating its tourism industry. I don't know what it looks like now.
