Tai 'ao Town is located in the easternmost part of Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It consists of two Jiang Xindao (Tai 'ao Island and Dayu Island) alluvial from Modaomen Waterway in the lower reaches of Xijiang River. It is adjacent to Zhongshan City in the east, Doumen District in Zhuhai City in the south, Zhou Mu Town in the west and Waihai Town in the north. It belongs to low Shatian District, with an area of 52.5 1 km2 (20 17).

History of Da 'ao Town

The land of Da 'ao was a shallow sea in ancient times and gradually became land in the early Ming Dynasty. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, it was named "Da Ao" because of its shape like "Ao Fish". In the Qing Dynasty, the western part of Da 'ao Island was under the jurisdiction of Chaoju Capital and the eastern part was under the jurisdiction of Xiangshan County.
