Horseshoe bamboo shoot is a famous traditional product in Ryan, with a long cultivation history. Ten Excellent Bases of Benefit Forestry in Zhejiang Province identified the horseshoe bamboo shoot base in Lumu Township as one of the ten excellent bases of benefit forestry in Zhejiang Province, which further promoted the development of horseshoe bamboo shoot industry in Lumu Township, improved the market competitiveness of products, and guided the horseshoe bamboo shoot industry in Lumu Township to develop in the direction of high quality and high efficiency.

Lumu Township is less mountainous, with 5,989 mu of cultivated land in the township, including 4,442 mu of paddy fields, and the per capita cultivated land area is less than 0.46 mu.
