Although these three delicacies are not handed down, these three delicacies are far less famous than Dongpo Pork, so they are not named after Dongpo like Dongpo Pork.

You cannot think that Su Dongpo is a gourmet just because he created so many delicacies. But in fact, Su Dongpo is not only a gourmet, but also a great writer. Su Dongpo is actually an alias of Su Shi. He lived in the Northern Song Dynasty and was a famous literary giant. He is very famous even in our time. It can be said that every student who has gone through nine years of compulsory education is definitely very familiar with Su Shi. From elementary school to junior high school and then to high school, we have learned many poems written by Su Shi. It can be said that every poem is universally recognized.

There is of course a reason why Su Shi was also called Su Dongpo. Although Su Shi wrote great poems, he also wanted to be an upright official who could take charge of the country for the people. But reality does not allow it. Su Shi's official career can be said to be a bumpy life. He was either demoted or on the way to being demoted. The reason why Su Shi had the alias Su Dongpo was because he was demoted in a relatively famous case, which was the Wutai Poetry Case, which according to the Qing Dynasty was a literary prison.

What happened in the Wutai Poetry Case. At that time, Wang Anshi advocated reform, but Su Shi originally stood neutral, but the bad thing was that he submitted a memorial to the emperor, which stated that he was stupid and did not want to participate in the reform and only wanted to be a good official. There is nothing wrong with it in the first place, but in the eyes of those who advocate reform, it is not that big of a deal. So Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou because of this incident, and because his parents in Huangzhou didn't have much salary, he had to cultivate a piece of slope land in the east to be self-sufficient, so he nicknamed himself Su Dongpo. After Su Shi jokingly called himself Su Dongpo, he also made a Guanyu pork dish and it became popular, so he called this delicacy Dongpo Pork.
