"Toyako" is the supporting role of Sakata Gintoki, the protagonist in the famous cartoon "Silver Soul". Yin Shi once claimed that it was a gift from the immortal of Toyako, and said that he bought it on a whim when he was a foreign teacher at school.

The author Hideaki Sorachi (who is also a cartoonist of Knife Mouth) said that all these stories were made up by Yin Shi. In fact, "Toyako" was ordered from a TV shopping advertisement and claimed that Toyako had a special memory of him. Later, because the wooden knife smelled of curry, Yin Shi ordered a new wooden knife from a TV shopping advertisement and asked the service staff to write "Toyako" as usual.

According to the advertisement, "Toyako" is actually called the "Star Broken" demon knife, which is a "powerful wooden knife" that can destroy anything.

Hideaki Sorachi also mentioned this in the Weekly Serialization. The publicity that came and went led people to travel to Toya Lake. They had to buy a wooden knife engraved with Toya Lake to be considered as a complete trip.
