I used to live in Suzhou, and I happened to visit these places often. Let me help you design a route.
Strategy 1 - Try not to look back, so go all the way from Shaoxing, Hangzhou, to Suzhou
Strategy 2 - Wuzhen is a water town, it is recommended to visit Mudu outside Suzhou (also a water town). This saves you spending the night in one place.
Strategy 3 - Try to live as close to the train station as the transportation is more convenient.
Day 1 (Shaoxing)
Take EMU 3120, departing in the morning and arriving around 3pm. Go to Lu Xun’s hometown and memorial hall, visit Sanwei Bookstore, and take a boat trip around the city in the evening. Have dinner at Xianheng Hotel (the one with the "Bronze Statue of Kong Yiji" at the door) (stinky tofu, dried tofu, fermented rice dumplings, braised pork)
