How to have morning tea in Yangzhou?

I stayed in Yangzhou for 6 days and ate at 5 teahouses. Let me share my experience.

In Yangzhou, there are too many choices for morning tea. Among them, the teahouses with the word "spring" in their names are the most popular, such as Fuchun, Yechun, ***hechun, Jinchun, Wutingyinchun, etc., as well as the interesting garden,

Yiyuan, Jiulu Branch, Garden Tea House, etc.

Many of these teahouses are century-old brands.

But recently, with the increase in tourists, many teahouses have struggled to get a seat in the morning, and there are long queues waiting for a seat.

I heard that Quyuan is the most popular, with people already queuing up at 3 or 4 a.m., while Quyuan doesn’t start distributing tickets until 6:30 a.m.

They also work hard for delicious food, which is really admirable.

This is the first teahouse I went to. It was recommended by the owner of the B&B, saying that it is a time-honored restaurant with a nice environment. Locals usually go there to treat guests to dinner.

The peak period for morning tea in Yangzhou is 06:30-08:30 in the morning.

Yiyuan is located next to Siwang Pavilion in the city center and is easy to find.

In order to avoid the rush hour, I arrived around 9 a.m. Although I had to queue, I arrived after waiting for a few minutes.

I was given a small table by myself and scanned the code to order.

Although I was alone, I ordered five kinds of dim sum, thinking that I would try a few more.

I was dumbfounded when these snacks arrived. As a girl from Guangzhou, I thought the portion was too big!

You know, the morning tea snacks in Guangzhou are usually two or three bites each, but the buns here are much bigger than my fist. Girls are almost full after eating one bun, and one siomai is equal to a bowl of rice.

, one steamed dumpling is equal to 3 dumplings in Guangzhou.

Compared with Guangzhou, the refreshments in Yangzhou are really huge.

There is no fee for tea here. The store provides boiled water. You can bring your own tea, or you can buy tea here for five yuan per bag.

This is better than Guangzhou. In Guangzhou, even if you drink boiled water or drink the tea you bring, you still have to pay for the tea.

After eating this meal, I skipped lunch for the day, I was so full.

Fuchun is also a time-honored brand. She has old stores and new stores. The owner of the B&B repeatedly emphasized that she should go to the old store.

Fuchun Old Store is located in a small alley on Guoqing Road. When you walk into the alley, you feel very good. This is the real Yangzhou style.

The environment inside Fuchun Tea House is nice and relatively simple. There is a big plaque in the shop that says "Huaiyang First Floor".

I arrived at around ten o'clock in the morning, and there were still a lot of people at that time. There are large round tables here in Fuchun, and diners have to share tables. They have to find their own seats, and then queue up to order and pay.

When I went to the individual guest lobby on the second floor, the long queue really scared me.

Take a look at their menu. There are options priced at 30 yuan per person and 50 yuan per person. They are all assorted dim sum, which is really considerate.

I ordered the 30 yuan one. Since it was a mixed meal, the portion of the dim sum was not as big as that of Yi Yuan. It was no problem for one person to eat a set.

After Fuchun finished eating, he felt that the refreshments were pretty good, the tea was delicious, and the meat was delicious.

It seems that the red color of Fuchun Tea House has a certain reason.

The business hours here are 06:30 13:30, 15:45 19:30.

The waiter said that we can come at 15:45. There will be relatively few people at that time.

Comments: Fuchun is a time-honored brand for civilians. It is located in an alley in the old city and has a quaint environment. You can feel the real Yangzhou morning tea style when you come to Fuchun.

But you have to queue up to order and pay and share a table.

Recommendation index: 4 stars Yechun is also a very popular tea house with many branches, and there is always a long queue waiting for a seat every morning.

I went to visit Zhenyuan at around 3pm and found her home. What a surprise!

Her dinner market starts at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. I asked the sister at the front desk if she wanted to queue up in advance. She said that there were not many people at night, so it was OK to come directly at 5 o'clock.

So if you have already experienced these teahouses in Fuchun in the morning and want to have tea again, you don’t have to queue up in the morning. You can come during lunch or dinner without queuing, and you can choose your location.

I ordered crab roe soup dumplings, lion head, tofu skin buns and bean paste buns.

I feel that the crab roe soup dumplings are more delicious than Yiyuan's. The straw that Yechun comes with is too mini and I can't even suck up the soup.

The lion's head soup was too oily, and I couldn't eat the meat ball in it after two bites, but the two buns were good.

I have been in Yangzhou for a few days and have eaten at these teahouses. I feel that the taste is similar and the food is not particularly outstanding, which makes me feel amazing.

If you really have to choose one or two, Yiyuan and Fuchun.
