East of Shilou Town, the eastern suburb of Panyu District, Guangzhou

Gull Island is located in the eastern suburb of Panyu District, Guangzhou, east of Shilou Town, at the mouth of the Pearl River, facing the Lion Ocean, surrounded by the main channel of the Pearl River and the Lianhuashan Waterway. It is a typical inland river island formed by alluvial rivers in the Pearl River Delta.

Introduction to Gull Island

Gull Island covers an area of about 36 square kilometers with a coastline of 37.96 kilometers, and governs four natural villages, namely Haixin, Shabei, Shanan and Jiangou, with a permanent population of 19,. It is adjacent to Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen. At the northern end of the island, the Lotus Mountain Waterway of the seagull Bridge is connected with the outside of the island. A 13-kilometer-long district-level highway runs through the whole island from north to south, and every village is open to traffic and connected with water and electricity. The basic living facilities are relatively perfect. The island is mainly based on planting and breeding, and the main crops planted are rice, bananas and flowers. Four kinds of fish are the main breeding species, and the special breeding species are fish farming in rice fields, shrimp farming and breeding of insects. It is a unique green ecological island in the urban community of the Pearl River Delta metropolis.

Huangpu Avenue-Nansha Port Expressway-Qinghe Road Exit-Qinghe East Road-Shiqing Highway-Gangkou Avenue-Seagull Bridge.

Huangpu Avenue goes to South China Expressway, and Luntou Exit turns into Nansha Express Line and Qinghe Road Exit. Go along Qinghe Road and turn left when you see the road sign for Lianhua Mountain. Just follow the road sign, cross the Gull Bridge and you will arrive at Gull Island.

Gull Island is famous for its three words: fish, shrimp and crab! Food stalls built by the sea sell the freshest seafood. The owner of the food stall is right next to your dining table. Put a cage (cast a net) and put a fishing net as big as several rooms directly into the sea. You can pull the net up by reaching out. If we are lucky, the harvested aquatic products will be used for immediate supply, so it depends on God's will what species and quantity there are that day. There are also small fishing boats that keep shuttling at sea, and the fish caught are sent directly to the kitchen.
