Xichang, located in the southwest of Sichuan province, is the capital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. It is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, charming ethnic customs and modern space sightseeing, and it is a dazzling pearl on Panxi tourism line.

It is located at low latitude and high altitude, with little pollution and high air visibility. Therefore, it is scorching in the sun during the day and bright in the sky at night, and it has been known as "Jianchang Moon" and "Moon City" since ancient times. Xichang is also called "Little Spring City" because the climate here is not inferior to Kunming, as the saying goes, "All kinds of flowers are blooming, and it is warm in winter and cool in summer." In the 197s, Xichang built a satellite launch base, and the space arrow pointed directly at the sky, becoming a "space city" symbolizing China's high technology.

Xichang has a subtropical monsoon climate with many sunny days. The annual average temperature is 17°C, the coldest January average temperature is 1°C, and the hottest July and August average temperature is only 24 C and 25 C. The azaleas in Luoji Mountain are particularly gorgeous at the beginning of April every year, which is worth seeing.

Xichang cuisine is dominated by Yi people's flavor. Tuotuo meat, buckwheat noodles, wild mushrooms and Jianchang salted duck are all delicious foods that should not be missed. Xichang's rice noodles are also very distinctive and can be tasted in many rice noodle shops in the city.
