On the afternoon of October 8, 2121, official website, UNESCO announced that a new batch of 49 cities had joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, and Huai 'an was successfully selected as the "World Food Capital", becoming the fifth city in China to rank among the "World Food Capital" after Chengdu, Shunde, Macau and Yangzhou.
