After the construction of the project was completed, Zhou Shunqing led everyone to open rice shops, pawn shops, teahouses and other shops to sell daily necessities at affordable prices.

Two years later, Zhou Shunqing once again spent 80,000 taels of silver to open the Yuchang Silk Factory in Wuxi. By the 1930s, Zhouxin Town was extremely prosperous.
