Gu Niao Mountain, located in the remaining vein of Mugan Mountain, is located 4 kilometers west of Gu Niao Town, Yuhang City, Hangzhou, with an altitude of 869 meters. It is one of the peaks of Hangzhou 10. The top of the ostrich mountain is huge and majestic, with continuous meadows and wide vision, overlooking Yaotou Mountain, Taohong Mountain and Xianrenshi. The vegetation on the mountain is bamboo forest, Chinese fir mixed forest, shrub and alpine meadow from bottom to top, which is full of natural wild interest. From April to May every year, the azaleas in full bloom all over the mountains make ostrich mountain full of charming charm.
At noon, 1 1, the motorcade arrived at the entrance of the whole city at the foot of the mountain on the west side of ostrich mountain. Under the leadership of the yoga teacher in the team of donkey friends, they completed the warm-up exercise, arrived at Dongliangmen along the Panshan Highway, and went all the way through the bamboo pavilion to the champion chair. Owl Mountain is a beautiful mountain. There are the most beautiful bamboo forests in the south of the Yangtze River at the foot of the mountain, and then there are shrubs on the mountainside. It is worth mentioning that Chinese fir has been planted in many places, which shows the diligence of the local people. To my surprise, the first chair went all the way up, no longer a bush, but an alpine meadow only half a meter high. There is no shade of trees, and the line of sight is wide. Standing on any mountain, you can see far away. The azaleas in full bloom on the hillside, the mountains in the distance and the small mountain village with white walls at the foot of Dahe are picturesque and beautiful.
The abnormal vegetation distribution in high places has aroused my observation and thinking. Open the grass, but see below are mostly pebbles less than the size of a palm, and there is almost no soil in the crevices. In this landform, trees and bamboos can't survive at all, and even meadows can't flourish. Look at those hilltops. The top of the mountain here is completely different from the peak of Danxia landform in Xinchang. It stands tall, steep and abrupt, and the cliffs are completely different. This is a huge and gentle hill, shaped like steamed bread. The gentle hills and endless low meadows give people the illusion of entering the northern grassland.
Why is the top of the mountain flat and steamed? Tens of thousands of years ago, even hundreds of thousands or millions of years ago, was it possible that the top of the mountain here was also a towering mountain? My mind was wide open and I had a wonderful idea. Due to crustal movement, natural weathering and lightning, big stones become small stones, and small stones become smaller particles. After sun and rain, mountain torrents washed away, and mud and sand flowed down to the valley and the foot of the mountain. So the mountain peak is getting lower and lower, more and more gentle, and it has become the current steamed bread type. At the same time, the soil on the high slopes of the mountain tops is getting less and less, the vegetation is getting thinner and thinner, the soil in the valleys and foothills is getting thicker and thicker, and the vegetation is getting more and more lush. And this movement in nature continues, making the mountains lower and gentler.

Rows of densely planted trees are not tall, and they are still more than a foot tall after several years. Every April, azaleas begin to bloom. At first, there are only a few, but in a few days, there will be more and more. A week later, flowers bloom one after another. At this time, the flowers have covered the leaves, and fresh and delicate flowers are seen on and around the leaves.
The wild azaleas in the mountains are very different from those planted here. The most shocking thing is that it is big, usually several meters high, up to seven or eight meters. It's completely different from the cuckoo in our community. Secondly, there are many flowers, and a tree can actually produce thousands of flowers.
Although the trees look different, the flowers are very similar. Tiny branches can also be divided into finer branches. Each branch can produce several flowers, the most common is three. Each flower is surrounded by five petals as thin as cicada's wings, with a bunch of bright flower cores in the middle and a ball at the top as the finishing touch, which is even more wonderful. The color here is mainly pink, with occasional white. The flowers in the mountains are mainly pink, but they can be seen everywhere, which is more noble. How can you not sing a poem among the azaleas in the mountains and plains?
