Mediterranean diet generally refers to the eating habits of Greece, southern Italy and other Mediterranean coastal areas, and advocates healthy living habits such as happy dining and active exercise. According to the recommendation of Mediterranean dietary habits, we should process food as simply as possible, eat more local seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, mainly vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans and nuts, use olive oil as the main cooking oil, use vanilla spices such as basil instead of salt to flavor, eat fish and seafood at least twice a week, eat proper amount of eggs and fermented dairy products, eat red meat at most twice a month and try to choose lean meat, and use proper amount of red wine when eating, with no more than two cups for men.
