Longquanyi District belongs to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and is located on the east edge of Chengdu Plain and the west side of Longquan Mountain. It is the sub-center and main urban area in the east of Chengdu, the main area of Chengdu's eastward development approved by the State Council and the location of Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone (national level). Longquanyi District has a long history and was under the jurisdiction of Shu in ancient times. In the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Lingquan County, which belongs to Chengdu Prefecture. In the eighth year of Zheng De in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 15 13), the patrol inspection department of Longquan Town was established, and the national post station "Longquanyi" was established; Longquanyi District, built in February, 1960, is one of the five earliest urban districts in Chengdu. Longquanyi District covers an area of 556 square kilometers, governs 12 streets (towns) and 14 1 villages (communities), and has scenic spots such as Luodai Ancient Town, Shijing Temple, Longquan Lake, Peach Blossom Town and Shu Ming Tomb.
