Studying experience at Southwest Jiaotong University’s Jiuli Campus: Let’s talk about the geographical location first. Jiuli Campus is located on the North Second Ring Road of Chengdu. The transportation is very convenient. There are buses all the way out from the north gate and the subway from the south gate. It only takes 20 to take the subway to Chunxi Road.
Minutes.
And not far from the north gate (about fifteen minutes) is CapitaLand, which is of a decent size.
There is a quite large Wal-Mart inside, and my roommate and I used to go there almost every week to "restock" when we were in school.
Let’s talk about the environment.
It takes less than twenty minutes to walk from the south gate to the north gate of Jiuli Campus. I once had morning classes at 8 o'clock and left the dormitory door at 7:53.
It is convenient to go anywhere, even if you want to check out the famous food on the internet.
Many friends are envious of Xipu’s Food City, but at night in Jiuli there are many small pushcart vendors selling delicious food outside the North Gate or West Gate!
Of course, the number is definitely not as good as Xipu, and there is a whole street of small pushcart vendors on a small road from the north gate to Kaide, hahaha.
There are relatively few canteens in Jiuli. There are only a few in a day. After staying at home for so long without going back to school, I forgot about them, four!
One Canteen, Three Canteen, Nanfeng Canteen, Nanfeng Halal!
My roommates and I usually prefer to eat in Canteen No. 1 because the portions are larger than Canteen No. 3, but there are more teachers in Canteen No. 1.
The third cafeteria is almost entirely filled with students.
I often go to Nanfeng to eat hot mixed vegetables, dumplings, rice noodles, etc. Nanfeng Halal mainly eats maocai.
Overall, the cafeteria tastes pretty good. I can’t say it tastes bad. After all, when I was a freshman in military training, I really thought it was quite tasty.
