How to steam yam
Ingredients
3 yams
An appropriate amount of water
Steamed yam (most A simple and nutritious way to eat)
Rinse the yam with water (I washed it with a dishwashing cloth)
There is basically no hair anymore and it is much whiter< /p>
No need to peel
Cut it into small pieces (basically it depends on your mood, be careful not to cut your hands!) You can cut it into any size you want. For obsessive-compulsive disorder, you can also use a ruler to measure it
Put water in the pot (it depends on your mood. If I put too much water, I can’t hold the pot. The iron pot is very heavy)
Cut the yam into small pieces and put it directly on the pot. on the drawer (Ignore that my drawer was burnt by the lady, and it became dark and impossible to wash.)
Cover the pot lid
Generally speaking, steaming for about 13 minutes is enough , I was so anxious that I opened the pot lid and took a look~
I wasn’t sure if it was cooked, so I poked it with chopsticks to try. It's easy to poke through.
Basically, when you pull out the chopsticks, (look at the yam that has been poked with holes by the chopsticks), you will see some glutinous things on the yam, which means it is cooked ~ hahahaha
Put it on the plate ~
Peel off the skin gently with your hands and it will come off. There is no need to worry about the skin. In fact, the skin is edible, and it is quite delicious when eaten with the skin.
Look at the thin skin. It can all pass through. Just eat it as it is. If possible, you can also dip it in honey, jam, or even sugar for a unique flavor.
Tips
1.
There is no need to peel the skin before steaming, it is easy to peel when cooked
2. The skin is edible. It has high nutritional value
3. It’s super simple. Don’t look at me and explain so many steps. I just took pictures in order and don’t waste it~
4. Yes, and if you are allergic to the mucus of raw yam, you need to wear gloves - it will disappear after steaming.
