In late July 2021, I spent four days visiting Chongqing and Chengdu with my daughter.

Day 1: Departure place - Chongqing. Stay at 7 Days Hotel on Zhongxing Street, Yuzhong District. 1. Visit universities. 2. Tour mountain city trails. This is my first time in Chongqing.

Jiangbei Airport is very big, and the online taxi driver was also confused. It took him two turns to realize that we were on the underground parking level.

After leaving the airport, I saw that the surrounding mountains in the distance were very special. They were not high, had no prominent peaks, and were not stacked with mountains. Instead, they looked like a circle of screens.

The road is indeed a road in a mountain city, with many slopes and canyons. We often see roads with several levels.

The first time I saw the Jialing River, the surface of the river was not very wide, the water level was generally high, and the water was turbid.

Yuzhong District is more like a mountain city, with narrow roads, steep slopes, and numerous high-rise buildings. The most special thing is that hot pot restaurants can be found everywhere.

The mountain city trail is worth walking to experience the feeling of old Chongqing.

Some small shops are quite unique.

Day 2: Stay at the Panda Mansion B&B in Chongqing 1. Visit the Chongqing Bombing Memorial Hall (closed for rest); 2. Ciqi Street-Liberation Monument-Bus No. 321 3. IKEA-Chaotianmen-Hongyadong. My daughter was tired from playing the day before

, slept until 9:30 in the morning. So it was relatively late to go out.

My daughter ordered Chongqing noodles for breakfast. She doesn't like spicy food, but she doesn't eat noodles often but she raved about them.

There is a bus right in front of the hotel. With the convenience of mobile payment, you can scan and pay 2 yuan to take one stop to Ciqi Street, which saves you from walking on mountain roads on hot days.

My daughter said that she didn’t know how to sit yesterday and her legs were broken.

As the capital, from 1938 to 1943, the Japanese bombed the city for many years. In particular, on the night of June 5, 1941, the Jiaochangkou Air Defense Tunnel suffocation tragedy occurred that shocked China and foreign countries.

Thousands of people died and were injured overnight due to suffocation and squeezing.

But in fact, history always moves forward, and war is only temporary. The brave and hard-working people of the mountain city have built a modern metropolis amidst the ruins. The memorial hall (it was closed that day, so I could not visit) is just quietly in the corner.

He stared at the passing vehicles and pedestrians without feeling sad or happy, complaining or complaining.

Ciqi Street and Jiefangbei Square are extremely prosperous, full of pedestrians and various goods. I especially feel that Chongqing people love to eat and are very good at eating.

Chongqing's public transportation system, including rail transit, is very developed, which should also be a good compensation for the mountainous terrain.

On the way back to the hotel from Ciqi Street, I temporarily decided to continue to Nanya District.

It turned out to be a bus tour, which was pretty good. It cost 2 yuan to see the scenery, and it was a low-carbon and environmentally friendly tour.

I wanted to go to IKEA when I was renovating a few years ago, but the nearest one was 600 kilometers away.

On the first day on the road, I saw that there was an IKEA in Chongqing. I happened to have some free time in my schedule, and my daughter also wanted to check out the delicious food there, so she changed the hotel to take a short rest at noon and rushed to IKEA.

The IKEA store is very large, with a dazzling array of furniture and home furnishings, and the design is very good. It is really adorable and can be rated 95 points.

Since there was no shortage at the moment, we finally chose a few small things.

There were quite a lot of people at dinner. We chose the must-order steak and local skewers. My daughter also chose chicken wings, and I got Swedish beer.

But the taste was so much worse than the legend said, we didn’t even finish it. The beer had caramel added, it was like Coke with a small amount of white wine, which was weird.

Food and drinks are at most 55 points.

I originally planned to spend two hours, but ended up wandering around and reluctant to leave. After finishing my IKEA dinner, I saw that it was already past 19:30.

The checkout was delayed for a long time, and there was a traffic jam on the road. The driver said that he might not be able to catch the Yangtze River night view cruise.

Finally, we caught up, but my daughter didn’t sit down because there were so many people, so she walked to Hong’an Cave instead.

Chaotianmen Pier was so busy and crowded that my daughter temporarily decided not to take the boat.

It's also nice to take a walk.

At the top of the Yuzhong Peninsula (or the Chongqing Peninsula or something else, I haven't studied it yet), two rivers merge into one stream, rolling eastward. Chaotianmen is the most prosperous of the two rivers and three banks.

There are so many tourists in Hong'an Cave that it is impossible to turn back.

Even if you want to retreat, you can't get a taxi.

In the end, the father and daughter just turned the trip into climbing stairs and hiking.

The impression of Hong'an Cave is only the splendid buildings on the bank and the crowded crowds.

In Chongqing buildings, it is difficult to tell which is the first floor.

Hong'an Cave has 11 floors, of which the 1st and 11th floors are connected to the road.
