I have eaten a lot of hot pot recently, and I think the most unpalatable dishes that are hot pot are sausages, pig brains, chicken butts, and taro.
Just today, due to work reasons, I went to a hot pot restaurant with BOSS for training. It was around eight o'clock in the evening before I could eat. Of course, the food was hot pot. It was free anyway, so it was very desperate.
Ordered their specials.
The result was good, all four of them were occupied. As soon as I opened it, I got goosebumps all over my body. My master was looking for trash cans all over the world.
Of course, the reason why it tastes bad still needs to be explained. Let me describe the taste of these dishes.
One, sausage.
In fact, it is hard to imagine that such food would be unpalatable in hot pot. No one may believe it, but if I tell you how it feels, you will know what it tastes like.
Sausage is flavorful because it is a cooked food, but because it has a casing, many times the casing is not broken when you cut it open.
Here’s the key point, if it’s the kind that’s cut at both ends, it can absorb all the chili oil in the hot pot, and when you eat it in your mouth, it’ll be so gorgeous that it makes you cry.
Not to mention, if it is Sichuan-style sausage, it is twice as spicy.
What I ate today was Sichuan-style spicy sausage. After it was filled with chili oil, it was eaten into the mouth. The choking sensation immediately went to the brain and came out of the nostrils. It was so sour and refreshing... Second, pig brain.
I believe that anyone who has watched the variety show "Challengers" has seen the way to eat hot pot water, and pig brains are exactly part of the water. In the past, I have only eaten pig brains stewed with gastrodia elata or pig brains stewed with gastrodia elata.
I stewed pig brains with other medicinal materials.

Let me talk about the feeling of stewed pig brains: After stewed, the brains of stewed pig brains tend to be firmer. Its texture is actually similar to some cream cakes, mousses, etc., except that it is salty.
So stewed food is still acceptable.
However, the brain in the hot pot is different. It is slippery, a little soft, and has no chewy texture. It feels like eating a piece of fatty meat.
So, when I ate it today, I actually swallowed it hard.
Three, chicken butt.
To be honest, I have eaten barbecued chicken butts before. In Wuzhou, the honey-glazed chicken butts taste pretty good. So, at the beginning, I was not interested in this hot pot chicken butts.
Not that disgusting.
But, that was before I got that taste.

The chicken butt in the hot pot, I don't know if it was not handled well or what happened, but I always felt that there was a strong smell of chicken shit in it.
At the beginning, out of responsibility for the customer, I called their person in charge and told them that the butt of the chicken was not cleaned. Then they tasted it and said it tasted normal.

I'm so messed up!
4. Grind the taro.
Before I came to Guangdong, I had never eaten taro. After eating it, I found that I had never seen this thing cooked in a delicious way.
It tastes like eating fatty meat, and it tastes worse than fatty meat.
When it comes to sausages, pig brains, chicken butts, these ingredients are still a matter of preparation. You can just change them. Grinding taro and tofu is something that I think is unpalatable from the ingredients.
Don't even know who invented it.
The above are some of the things that I find difficult to eat in hot pot.
