Shantou is a land of delicious food. Throughout the year, vendors often push carts around the streets, shouting incessantly. Especially in summer afternoons, some vendors always sell beancurd and grass cake (turtle ling paste) on the street. They knock on a porcelain bowl in one hand and chopsticks in the other, and shout at the top of their voices: "Beancurd-grass cake! Westbank > People can't help drooling after listening to it. I always like to buy two bowls after school. First, I can afford to buy one bowl for fifty cents. Second, it tastes good and hygienic. When I get home, I sprinkle a layer of brown sugar or honey on it and mix it well, and then I can't wait to send it to my mouth. It's cool and refreshing, and it's very fresh. The canned Guiling cream sold in the supermarket is much more delicious.
