That year, my coastal tour continued. When I came to Jinzhou, I considered that the city was a bit far from the coast, about 20 kilometers away, so I planned to stroll around the city first and then go see the sea in Jinzhou. However, because of the
The profound humanities caused me to stay in the city for two days, which also took up time to visit the sea. In the end, I was unable to visit the seaside in Jinzhou. This was the only time I never visited the seaside since I traveled from the south to the north coast.
The experience of going to a seaport city to see the sea.
So, what is it about Jinzhou’s urban area that attracts me?
Jinzhou is a transportation hub connecting Northeast China and North China, and was once the capital city of Western Liaoning Province. However, for many tourists, it is probably mainly famous because it is the place where the Battle of Jinzhou took place.
Today, a memorial hall in Jinzhou City can best give us a detailed understanding of the beginning and end of that battle and the significance of the battle.
According to relevant historical data, the Battle of Jinzhou was an important part of the Battle of Liaoshen. The memorial hall about the Battle of Liaoshen is located at No. 1, Section 5, Beijing Road, Linghe District, Jinzhou City. The panoramic painting "Conquering Jinzhou" in the museum uses sculptures and
Various technologies such as sound, light and electricity are integrated to show the audience the battle scenes of that year in detail.
I walked into it and had an immersive feeling about that battle.
During the visit, I met a senior volunteer guide on site. Although he seemed to be very old, his explanations were simple and vivid, and his historical knowledge was also very comprehensive and detailed.
I developed a strong desire to learn more about that battle.
After coming out of the memorial hall, I also visited the nearby Liaoshen Campaign Martyrs Cemetery and Liaoshen Campaign Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower.
I saw that the memorial tower consists of a tower body and a top. On the top of the tower is a bronze statue of a People's Liberation Army soldier holding a gun and shouting. The bronze statue is about 6 meters high.
The front of the tower is also inlaid with large gilt characters inscribed by Marshal Zhu De: "The revolutionary martyrs of the Liaoshen Campaign will live forever." This tower was built to commemorate and commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives heroically in the Liaoshen Campaign.
In the memorial hall, I learned that the ruins of the Liaoshen Battle and the Battle of the Distribution Pool are still preserved in Jinzhou City, and I couldn’t wait to see them.
I took a bus for about 20 minutes and arrived near the ruins. I found its exact location on the slope near Renmin Street in Guta District, Jinzhou, northwest of the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall.
There is a gray building with a basement in the ruins, and a house from the same period that was probably the gate duty room at that time. The architecture of the ruins is unique and exquisite.
There are many bullet holes on the outer wall of the ruins, which reminds us of the fierce battle in history.
Back then, when I went there, there was an old woman living there and taking care of the ruins. The old woman was very enthusiastic. Once she saw tourists coming to visit in twos and threes, she would enthusiastically explain it on a voluntary basis and guide the tourists down to the basement to visit.
When I visited, there was still a large and messy yard around the ruins. It is understood that it has now been built into a park for locals to relax and exercise, and it is very beautiful.
After visiting the ruins, I walked south along Renmin Street and soon came to Jinzhou Zoo.
The scenery in the zoo is good, and there is also a beautiful lake, which also adds a lot of the soft flavor of Jiangnan gardens to the northern city of Jinzhou.
That day, I stood by the lake for a while, admiring the beautiful scenery and marveling at Jinzhou's profound history.
Instantly, I realized that I fell in love with this city.
Jinzhou is famous for its huge Guangji Temple ancient building complex, which includes Tianhou Palace, Guangji Temple Tower, and Zhaozhong Temple. In addition, the Jinzhou Museum with rich collections is also integrated with the ancient building complex.
.
After I visited the Jinzhou Museum to learn about the history of Jinzhou, I walked into the ancient courtyard of Tianhou Palace.
This is a quadrangle-style two-entry courtyard, with old ancient houses everywhere, brick doors and windows, making it very simple and vicissitudes of life. The brick, stone and wood carvings here are particularly exquisite, showing superb skills.
My favorite building in the Queen's Palace is the main hall built at the northern end of the central axis. It is built on a high platform. The top of the hall is decorated with dragon and phoenix images, and there are many stone lions of different shapes guarding the platform.
It makes the whole hall look very majestic without losing its aura.
The Tianhou Palace in Jinzhou was built in the third year of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1725). It was originally built by merchants from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and other places who came to Jinzhou to pray for the blessing of the Queen of Heaven. Among them, Mazu is enshrined in the main hall.
And the statue of the Dragon King of the Four Seas.
It is understood that Mazu has this person, whose original name is Lin Mo. She was born on Meizhou Island, Putian, Fujian. She was extremely intelligent and taciturn since she was a child. However, she had a loving heart and remained unmarried. In the end, she was rescued from a shipwreck.
passed away.
Mazu, who has also been given the title of Concubine of Heaven, Queen of Heaven, Holy Mother, etc., is the most believed by people on the southeast coast of my country and even along the coast of East Asia, so she is praised as the God of the Sea.
Now, Mazu beliefs and customs have been included in the intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
